It's about 2hrs away or else I'd go look at for you, as @Ibleedblue5.0 said, Mercer is in the nowhere. Dayton, Ft Wayne, or Columbus would be the best bet for flights. If concerned about the underside, have them put it on a lift and take videos. I suspect it's pretty clean though.

This has all the ingredients for a great adventure. Anticipation, organization, ROADTRIP, first sight and start, test drive, drive a little more and go from there. Take lots of pictures along the way as well. They have their stories future told.

Yeah, I looked at it in the map and it's not near ANYTHING!
Which probably explains why the car lot has had it so long.
Now I'm wondering how they wound up with a practically new MACH1?
I think I'll call em tomorrow.
I bought my current Mustang from a dealership in Detroit, sight unseen and had it shipped to me.
I just asked the sales lady to walk around it and photograph any door dings, scratches etc., not that it'd be a deal breaker, but just so I wouldn't be surprised.
She called back an hour later and told me it was flawless, and it was.
I'll ask the same if whoever I get a hold of.
Not worried about rusty undercarriage at all.
May ask for a short video of the car running taken under the hood to listen for anything unusual.
I don't really see a problem with a used car with only 4500 miles on it and a clean Carfax.
We'll see!

Awesome color! One of the other few colors I would take over Competition Orange. It looks like a clean car, and I agree with some of the others on here that it looks like the price is lower compared to most Mach 1s because it is in the middle of nowhere. My advice for if you fly out to see it is always inspect panel gap consistency, fastener consistency, and paint all around the car. It may not have any accidents on the Carfax but that doesn't mean that it wasn't in a wreck and they just didn't report it to insurance. People can pull some really scummy stuff these days. Don't let that desire to buy it affect your judgment! If it looks good, I would say go for it.

My guess is the dealership got it last summer and one of the higher-ups drove it and enjoyed it until winter. Then it became a hard sell due to winter and location. I'd go for it if everything checks out. Good luck!

edit - also I wouldn't be concerned about salt exposure on a two year old car with only 4,500 miles.

It's not a dealership, it's a hole in the wall used car lot in a small town out in the middle of nowhere. According to the carfax, it was sold new in Ohio and stayed here the whole time, and the original owner sold it in June of 24. My guess, someone bought it as a toy, enjoyed it the summer of 23, put it away for winter, and in 24 either decided he didn't want it anymore or couldn't afford it or maybe he died and his family sold it.
Because it was first sold in March of 23, it's still under the factory 3/36, so i would buy it soon so if there is some hidden issues, you still have a factory warranty to get it taken care of.

My only concern would be why did they change oil in February of 24 then only driving it 600 miles change the oil and reprogram the computer in May of 24. All done at the original dealer in Cincinnati.
That’s if the info was put in correctly to Carfax. Other than that I think it’s a great car. Time for road trip.

The original owner might of had it tuned and they put it back to stock, or they did the steering recall.

I agree with you. Any of that could have happened. But why the 2 oil changes in 600 miles then the car gets sold to a “ hole in the wall dealer” across the state.
I am sure I’m overthinking it. But that’s just me.

I think the owner changed the oil first then after he sold it, the dealer did the steering recall and oil change before the other dealer got it.

I bought my car in another state that was a long 2 day drive from where I live. I probably drove the saleswoman crazy with my questions on the phone and emails. And I made her ask the techs a bunch of things, too. Things like, does the seat air conditioning and heaters work? Why has the car been on the lot as long as it had? Is there rust on the undercarriage? I followed the ad on Cars.com and it was listed for about 4-5 months. Then we haggled over the price. When I decided to buy the car after 2 weeks of negotiations, I took my wife and grandson on a flight, then a weekend trip to drive the car home. This car wasn't my first choice. I have no regrets as the car is everything as advertised. Yeah, I've been called crazy, but you only have 1 life... Hope this helps you.

If you like it by all means…. But I see low mileage mach1s being 40K by the end of the year, it’s literally about to hit peak depreciation cliff.
I still say crazy expensive 🤷

That's interesting. What website is that?
I'd like to browse it myself.
I'd prefer the grabber blue, but the car salesman doesn't know that, and maybe I can negotiate a better price.
Thanks

I looked up that first one and it s a cloth interior.

edit/. all 3 are cloth cars. Thus the lower price.
