Michelin 4s vs Cup 2 in the rain?

My cups were worn out by 9K, running 4S now. I do track my GT350R, but this decision was more financial that anything else. At my (lack of) skill level, the difference in performance was a non-issue. The 4S still picks up rocks when hot, but not as bad.

When I purchased my 2019 it came with the Cup2's. I immediately sold them and bought the OEM MPSS tires.
Much better as a street tire and confident in the rain.
For the little driving that you do I would say you might get away with the Cup 2's but I'd really have to be struggling with the looks of a 4s to go that route.
Depending upon your geographic area and chances of flash rain fall (think Florida) your experience may vary.
The MPSS and teh Cup2's are more of a stretched sidewall look vs the 4s.
It's a shame that Michelin does not make the 4s in OEM sizing for the 350.
Regardless I am going to switch from my MPSS to 4s because I hate the tramlining.

Yes i think ill be ok. Live in the bay area so no flash rains. The stretched sidewall is what i think catches my eye the most thats why i think i want the cup2s they look like an upgraded mpss which is what i have now, where the 4s gives a different look. Thanks for the input

I'd done a lot of suspension work but when aggressively driving through a sweeper the car always felt as though the ass end wanted to step out. I have run 4S and 555's with the same result. My car had been a daily until last October so I figured since the car will get limited use I'm buying Cup 2's and see how they work. Well for me that was the thing that brought all the suspension mods into line. It feels like I'm part of the car. The pucker factor is where my limit is. I have some racing background and for me if it feels unsafe it is.

They’re great tires. Just go easy on the long pedal if you end up in the rain. Cooler weather also. They look fantastic on the car
