1. you don't have a lot of sidewall on those tires
2. its not the diff, torsens are dope
3. sport mode makes the throttle NON LINEAR which means it makes it more touchy
4. your tires aren't hot enough

here's your problem:

lower sidewall than factory and you driving in sport mode means the tire has less ability to absorb shock which directly affects power delivery which is exacerbated by the fact that you have shittier throttle input in sport mode and its cold outside and you probably haven't put enough heat in your tires because they're 315's which really are overkill for your situation so they take longer to heat up because bigger things dissipate heat easier.

stop using sport mode and get some heat in those tires before you do silly things.

So I do not know if this is normal or not, but it doesn't feel right so I thought I'd ask. When making a turn from a stop the rear tires almost always break traction even with light throttle application. Turning onto the highway is a nightmare because the wheels keep losing traction way too easily and if the road is even a little bit wet, forget about it.

Also in the wet, I can break traction at 45mph easily by simply flooring it in 2nd gear. Is this normal behavior or something to do with the LSD? Tires have only about 1k miles on them. Pilot Sport 4s. 315/30/r20 in the rear. Car is a PP1 with 3.73 gears.
I had the same thing happening to me. I couldn't pull away without spinning the wheels and in the wet it was crazy, fun but crazy. I never drove in sports mode it was just too frantic. I had a custom tune done and although my car has more power it made it much more driveable. I can drive around in sports mode no problem. Much nicer all round.

They are summers. I can't tell you the exact date but I bought them new in September 2024
There’s a 4 digit code stamped on your tires. It stands for the week and year of manufacture.

Just because you bought them in 09/24 doesn’t mean they were manufactured close to that date.

I agree with many above. Combination of temps (if its below 55 ish, tires are not gonna hook), and high HP car. My Mach 1 (315 30 19) spins freely at these temps, especially if I hit it before I have driven a few miles... Once I drive about 5 miles the tires heat up a bit even if the temps are below 50 and they work better. Also age of the tires do play into it. If the date code is not within the last 18 months or so, they potentially are harder than when they were fresh...

How much power are you making? It doesn’t say. I’m making 854WHP and not having any of those issues.

I know lol just couldn't look at the car right then as I was away from home. The rears are 0624 (driver) and 1124 (passenger)

I never dyno'd it after the mods so I'm not sure. Probably close-ish to stock. My mods are in the signature, most were done for sound/appearance, improved throttle response, etc except for suspension to get rid of the common issues. I did get a lund tune and it improved throttle response but I guess my problem is the sport mode. I didn't realize how bad it was until someone pointed it out and I checked it out yesterday. I'll be driving in normal from now on.

Don't remember. I'll have to find the last alignment paperwork which was done when I replaced the tires but I'm sure it wasn't touched during the alignment. Maybe the previous owner did, idk., but will check.

I was asking as your wide tyres indicate a wider wheel, and some guys crank the camber over to allow clearance for that (influenced by offset and stance preferences).

That’s lots of dots to join from the info you have provided, but I thought it worth the question :like:
