I'm old, years dont matter anymore. But thats what popped into my head when he said CTR.
That's fair, I'm putting on the age myself.
I forgot about the RUFs, those were badass cars. I wonder how many are left now. Guessing they're worth at least a million each by now.

Absolutely. If ya can find one. That was a real supercar era... late 90's and 200mph. Dang...

And just to clarify, the M1 is a fantastic track car. It's not the GT350, but for the price, it would be tough not to consider it as a track vehicle. But it is missing basic modifications that should be done to get the most out of the car.
What is the Mach 1 missing in your opinion?

Same stuff my car was missing. Rlca sphericals, and solid support bushings. On the M1, I think there are a few more bushings that need to go in other to lock down the rear, that on the 350 Ford addressed.

Both cars were made for the street, but could be fun on the track. I'm not pretending one is significantly better or worse than the other. It's sort of 6 one way, half dozen the other.

I don't really have pics or videos of the track stuff, just mountain footage. But I was on RA last year with 2 other Mach 1's. One HP "converted", another a base. Mine is an HP with Recaros and a manual, other than that stock besides x-pipe. Me and my friend put most of the other cars to shame on track. It's like a damn cup car. Also, got to do about 10 laps out at AMP since I know the owner and got the track to myself one evening and the car ate that track up like it was breakfast. It just does everything you want when you want it. As good as the brakes are, for the straight into 10A at Road Atlanta, I started wanting XP12F/XP10R pads with some good fluid but it's amazing what an HP car can do out of the box.
Don’t want to rain on your parade but those cars that you put to shame were certainly not good track cars or driven by good drivers
As for your comment regarding cup car, you must have never driven one
If you were only ā€œwanting ā€œ 12/10 pads, you must not be that fast of a driver
Those pads, the front especially, are really entry level race pads for moderate open track

More than happy to drive with you so you can show me how it's done, "champ". I don't mind humbling you.

I can take a pic of it as soon as I leave here for lunch...
1st pic - 16 GTPP in 2021 at Road Atlanta
2nd pic - Mach 1 at Road Atlanta, yet somehow ran faster lap times in the Mach 1 while pulling less G. Who knows what the real values of the GT were considering they max out at 1.5.

Edit: 2nd pic is from today, my phone is there for authenticity. I never really looked at them before.

You guys crack me up. It’s not that big of a deal whatever you record on your accelerometer. Trust me, there will always be someone willing to push the envelope even further. Those are the ones that don’t live to tell about it. :)
Be careful.

I never look at the ā€œGā€ meter. It’s an irrelevant gimmick for road racing
Beside oil temperature and pressure as well than coolant temp, the most useful for me is the tires pressure
