I have posted several times regarding tire questions. I have now ordered wheels from CJPony, Ford performance (basically pp2 wheels)

https://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-pe...82bb8d50-80cc-ef11-8668-0050560203df#228=4950

Specifications:
- Size: 19” x 10.5” (Front) and 19” x 11” (Rear)
- Lugs: 5 x 114.3mm (5 x 4.5”)
- Finish: Matte Black Painted, Clear-Coated to OEM Standards
- Backspacing: 6.69” (Front) and 7.89” (Rear)
- Offset: +24mm (Front) and +48mm (Rear)
- Center Bore: 70.6mm
- Construction: Cast Aluminum
- Center Caps: Included

Vehicle Fitment:
- 2015-2017 Mustang V6
- 2015-2023 Mustang EcoBoost
- 2015-2023 Mustang GT

The car is a 2022 Mustang GT Premium manual, it is currently OEM. It will be a daily driver for possibly 6 months out of the year, and will be driven on both highways and mountain roads with plenty of turning/handling needs. I am leaning towards a 305/30R19 PS4S setup, but due to the short sidewall I am also considering a 295/35R19. I have already bought the wheels, but I haven't bought tires. I have a friend pushing me to go 305 front and 315 rear (10.5/11 wheels). I have been looking at the PS4S and the Conti extreme contact 02. If the car doesn't perform great, or has a lot of road noise or isn't comfortable to drive I have a truck that I can daily drive. I am going for more performance than comfort. If you had this car, and had these wheels what tires would you put on and why?

Don’t lessen to your friend. The Mustang is a front heavy understeering pig and need as much tire than you can in front
Best balance is with a squared set up. 305 being optimal
That said, 10.5 is a bit narrow for 305

Hi Luc, my friend suggested I go 305 front and 315 rear. I am leaning towards 305/30R19 on all corners. Is that what you are suggesting?

Yes for sure. You could need a bit more negative camber ( top of tire leaning inwards) to clear the 305 but you will not know until you try it

It doesn't really help you to go wider than the wheels with soft shouldered street tires (10.5 = 295, 11, 305). With Some track oriented tires. I wouldn't stress over 10mm of tire width. A 295 or 305 square setup should work fine, they're 'close enough'. I would not do a 315 on the front 10.5, its too wide.

I'm a little concerned about the fit with 315s on those 11" rears because of the offset, so I'd look for somebody who has that exact tire, offset, and wheel width first, and then ask them what rear camber and shock mounts they're running. There's probably a number of combinations that work but it might be close if you're running a lot of camber with stock shock mounts. 305s should fit fine with most setups.

The shorter sidewalls on a 305/30 or 315/30 aren't a bad thing, the lowering and gearing from the shorter sidewalls can be good for performance, and the bumps won't be much more than a 295/35 anyway. If you are lowered slightly the wheel gap will look fine. 295/35s will fill up the fenders better if you're overly concerned about the look factor.

Nightmare, I am not very concerned about the look (wheel gap specifically). The Ford PP2 package uses a 305/30R19 on all 4 corners, but they use 10.5 front wheels and 11" rear wheels. I think I am going to go that route because I already bought the wheels. I will try driving the car, im sure having people comment on the wheel gap, then I'll decide if I am going to lower it or not. I like driving and pushing it, but I have always driven trucks so this whole world is new to me. I am trying to go step by step and not jump into anything too expensive that I may regret.

I have 305/30 front (stock) and 325/30 rear (proper look vs stock stretch) on my M1.

I run 305-30s and 315-30s on 10.5 &11 GT350 wheels without any fitment issues, would include a picture but this app won't let me...

I like a 295/35/19 up front and a 305/35/19 out back. However, you can go with the PP2 sizing of 305/30/19 and 315/30/19. I like the 295s up front as I feel they have better feel with the 10.5"wide wheel.

I am running the Mach 1 HP wheel and tire sizes (same spec wheels) with the 305/315 30 19. You are very limited on tires in that size combo. Basically PS4S, Nitto 555G2, Cup 2's or a Falken Azeni. If you do 305 30 19 square, your options open up a bit (Conti ECS 02). The PP2 cars run 305 30 19 square so you could go that route...

I ended up getting 295/35R19 Conti extreme contact 02 instead of 305/30R19. Continental couldn't confirm a ship date, after originally confirming a ship date..... Will the 295/35 be that different than the 305/30s?

they will be noticeable taller but the ride should be nicer.

Those Contis are a fine choice for a street car. No regerts.
