Wish I would be able to give an update when the parts get installed, but came out today to a hit and run on my front bumper by someone, so suspension is going to have to take a back seat again. :crying:

You would think right? I felt the same way, but personally was disappointed in all Steeda stuff. Hope it works out for you, do let us know how it feels.
I think their Mustang stuff is calibrated for great roads and track. I can't see them spending untold hours on chopped up broken urban streets and trashed highways in a variety of temps with a car wired up with sensors with endless calibration runs. There simply isn't the volume for a biz case. Easiest to calibrate for track then soften it for street.

I do know Koni has literally thousands of own hours not to mention OE customer thousands of hours calibration for all conditions so they got my money.

Vote for Konis here. Very happy with them and I live in country area with poor roads. Just make sure that whoever instals them DOES NOT use a rattle gun on the top nut, per Koni instructions. A lot of shops ignore this and it unscrews the foot valve, then they say the shock is rubbish.

I ended up going Steeda, and just wanted to leave my experience here as a testament to them, confirming what many others have said about their customer service.

I received excellent customer service from Adam and Rod. I had initially placed an order on a Thursday afternoon for shocks, struts, and lowering springs; I thought about it overnight and decided I no longer wanted to lower my car due to it being my daily driver in Chicago. I emailed the next day on Friday to cancel my original order and placed a new order that same weekend on Sunday for just shocks and struts. Adam reached out over the phone that Monday and got everything squared away with my latest order, in addition to Rod assisting in canceling the original order over email. That Tuesday, I hadn’t received any emails about my latest order and became worried I had entered my email incorrectly, so I called. Adam again got that squared away for me and sent me the tracking number for my order, as I had typed .con instead of .com. The order shipped out that same Tuesday! They provided truly unmatched customer service, and they didn’t make me feel bad about the situation at all. I'm excited to receive my new Steeda actives, jounce bumpers, and billet shock mounts. I will be back for more!

Can anyone speak on if this is the same for the install on the Steeda’s?

What size sockets do I need if removing factory shocks and struts for the Steeda actives, 21 and 22? Would rather not order the full kit if all won’t be needed. Also, taking a look at the provided instructions on the pro actives page, the instructions are for the pro actions. Are there any difference between the two installations I should note? Thanks again

The factory strut shaft nut is 21mm, our Steeda Active struts are 22mm.

Pro Action and Pro Actives have no difference in the install procedures.

Any updates?

So I love the setup honestly, the shocks and struts are extremely comfortable over bumps and for day to day driving. Tighten up well around curves, car handles a lot better, plus all the bounciness of the stock suspension is gone. Also love the minimum drop springs I went with, from Steeda as well. They clean up the wheel gap to where I’d say it’s “performance” fitment, but very usable for daily driving, and curved driveways, I drive this car year round in Chicago and haven’t experienced any scraping in the first month of any kind. Just a warning from my experience, I’m currently having to replace the front strut mounts that only had 18,000 original miles on them. The bearing began to make noise after reinstall with the Steedas, so I just recommend doing those too because they’re $130-150 and saves you a lot of time or money. I wish someone would had told me that there was a chance of that happening prior to install, oh well. I did use Steeda billet shock mounts for the rear and haven’t had any issues with those. Any other questions let me know!

Great feed back.

I ditched Koni brand after defects and more defects on warranty replacements thankfully seller caught before shipping. It's a joke. God thing did the work myself.

Note OE rear shock mounts have rubber bushing for NVH.

Have you noticed any increased harshness over stepped and small bumps?

Did you cut bump stops?

I wonder if installer over torqued the strut shaft nut ruining the bearing....

I used Steeda precut bumpstops, I’m sorry to hear the Koni’s didn’t work out. Quite honestly the car rides way better than stock in my opinion over bumps and road imperfections. Even my buddy with a supercharged 2017 GT with stock suspension who doesn’t care about comfort whatsoever commented on how nice it rides one day lol.
