Mine did have some issues right away with the diaphragm and plunger movement. Resolved by reseating diaphragm and adding a light amount of sewing machine oil.

I looked at the Tial today. And that's a hell of a price jump! From $60 to Nearly $300. Mechanicaly the mechanism isn't that sophisticated. What is it about the TiAL that brings up the cost so far?
Could always go to one of the procharger bov and get a welded flange adapter

The quality. TiAL is one of the best you can buy. A bov is a very important component that is easily overlooked.
I suppose if the budget BOV fails, it won't hurt anything. Buy nice or buy twice, if possible of course.

It's fine to have a lighter spring in the valve, I read your initial problem about revs hanging. The BOV is a red herring and not your problem.

The slightly lighter spring and lower opening vacuum will function perfectly, the only thing putting more spring pressure in there will do is bring boost in a little earlier per throttle position. But itl function fine as it is.

Youre right. It probably isn't the issue. I've spent allot of hours the past few days doing deep dives into BOVs. The information online is wildly different. People passionately debate the fundamentals. Who knew a simple valve could spark so much debate .

Best to read decent material and not car forums. Tbh, there's never many clued up people in these places, just a select few and lots of regurgitated nonsense. It's handy for diagnosing common faults or getting part numbers but as far as technical advice, well you can see for yourself.
