Did you ever get the shifter installed? If so, who did it?Hey guys so I am ready to go with one of these over the Ford Performance short throw. Does anyone know or recommend a shop in New Jersey to do this? Would a Ford dealer be worth checking out? Thanks
Yes I did. Ribs Performance in Andover. He also did my whipple on the car. Awesome shop.Did you ever get the shifter installed? If so, who did it?

Normally, I love everything Ford Performance. However, their short throw shifter for the S550 was an exception. The only positive was that the knob sat lower than stock.I'm really trying to keep my car "OEM+"- limiting upgrades to the Ford Performance parts bin and not just raiding a parts retailer. I did swap in the Steeda clutch pedal spring, though, and replaced the trans fluid with BG syncro II. Both were worthy, noticeable improvements.
Now I'm looking for that little extra feel and confidence with a short throw kit, and I'd love to disable the built-in rev hang (requires a tune). I was planning to buy the Ford Performance short throw and the tune kits.
Does anyone have experience with this AND the Ford Performance short throw kit? How well does the FP compare? Should I even consider it? Not concerned about the price difference if it's significantly better.

I removed it and installed an MGW Race Spec. I couldn't be happier with that decision. The MGW is a must have in my opinion
You can disable rev match on the dash menu.I'm really trying to keep my car "OEM+"- limiting upgrades to the Ford Performance parts bin and not just raiding a parts retailer.
