I have found that the stereo volume and the phone volume are different in some cars. Have you tried cranking up the phone volume when on an actual call? It's the same knob/button.

Not sure this applies, but I recently saw the exact same thing happen in a different Ford vehicle. I was helping to diagnose the issue and it turned out to be a problem with the owner's hearing aids, his android smartphone, and the way both of those things interacted with the vehicle.

Once figured out, going to the phone's Bluetooth menu and disconnecting the hearing aids fixed the issue. Not a perfect fix, but it worked reliably. And the hearing aid app on the phone was still working with the devices even while disconnected from Bluetooth, so all good there.

Sounds like typical electronics connection issue. Remove the phone from Sync and reset Sync to factory settings. Reconnect the phone and hopefully it fixes it.

That's what I do whenever there's a phone glitch. Works most times.

If you take the phone out of the equation, do your voice commands still work?

Wouldn’t that depend on what you asked them to do?
