I still think a stock GT with the right mods is still one hell of a car.
Yeah every 10 speed I've driven was stock for reference but it acted like it couldn't decide what gear to be in. I'm really just on the manual train until I'm unable to keep driving one. It's just more engaging for me personally.

Welp, got her home. Introducing, my new to me, 2023 Mach 1. After a solid hour drive home, I definitely made the right choice. This car is better than my GT in every way (at least the ways that matter to me). Thanks everyone here for the conversation and opinions. It was helpful, the few that dislike the A10 even helped me feel a bit vindicated.

Now to figure out what to do with my username...
congrats!! Beautiful color. Enjoy!

Same with the spoiler, I like the birds nest wheels and the wider stance too. I could take or leave the front splitter, I'd probably just get annoyed with it rubbing stuff.
Love the front splitter it completes the awesome HP look for me personally. If you decide to put it on don't worry you will learn to angle your approach. I have 25K miles my splitter is intact (well the bottom all scratched up). But it holds up pretty well.

I had a friend with a red truck. Wasn't his first truck. The truck's name was "Blue". I never saw his first truck, and he never talked

IPOGT I agree with you about the stock GT being one hell of a car but outside of maybe beefing up or adding sway bar(s) to help flatten out some body roll I hadn’t thought about mods.

Could you do a quick run through on what you consider the right mods for the stock GT?

Thanks.

I think that’s a rather subjective question based on the individual, but I’d say bracing, shocks and struts (big fan of Bilstein b6 for these cars if not magnaride equipped) , exhaust mod, induction CAI, FP tune, sway bar and bushing upgrade, and that’s pretty much the basics to make the car feel more planted and muscle/road car like. Pretty much night and day difference. Some people said good things of the subframe braces, but I’ve never used them.

Are the B6s just a simple bolt-on or do they require other changes?

The GT I’m thinking about is a ’24 and has AVE so I’m pretty happy with the 486 hp and the way it runs so I’d probably leave the intake stuff alone. Sounds really good too. I might check with Steeda and see what they have available in sway bar upgrades. That and B6s might just be all I need.

you were doing so good! ... till you listed that.
I figured if it’s good enough for the M1 and the GT350, well, you know the rest.
But I maintain an open mind.

On its own? Yeah not gaining much for the $$. Stacked with other mods (including a larger TB) plus a tune? Could be worth it.

Haven’t looked but not even sure they make one for a ā€˜24 yet?
