Hi guys and gals,
Just picked up my 2015 V6 Mustang Black. I tested out the Ecoboost and GT, even though i wouldve loved to have one of those but it was not in my budget. I am happy with my V6, but i know i can do some upgrades to it, as far as power. Can you guys give some advice since not only is this my first brand new car ever, but its also my first Mustang ever. Any ideas out there would definitely help me. Thanks!

you're going to find the v6 is going to be the most limited to "soup up". Ecoboost would be the easiest by far. There's the usual, intake, exhaust, headers, tune, etc..

Sadly all of that and more would still be a massive amount of power down on a Ecoboost with just an intercooler and tune, since that'll be basically hanging with the GT with those mods.

Thanks Diva. I might do intake and exhaust. Other than that I am very satisfied with my V6.

The 3.7 is an awesome engine, I love mine, but I now want more power :D

An intake and a tune will go a long way.

Because I am such a beginner to all of this :) where do I get these performance parts from? Is it supplied by Ford or aftermarket?

A little bit of both. You'd be better off in the v6 section asking those questions. Nice looking car, I have a black mustang as well.

Awesome, and congrats! I'm thinking of going V6 myself, perhaps Competition Orange.

If I bought a V6 today the first mods I would do is rear gears(3.73 for manual trans) and a tune(MPT or Steeda) followed by exhaust. Next would be lightweight 18" wheels and tires then suspension(1" drop springs coupled with shocks and struts). FRPP suspension would likely be what I would use with the V6.

I'm an admin on another forum that has a large group of V6 members so I have good experience with what makes them happier with their rides.

D1, Competition Orange looks pretty good as well. I almost got one with black rims and last minute changed my mind to black.

Grimace,
Does your forum have a lot of 2015 v6 users?

Tune and gears will change the car quite dramatically. There's lots of tuning companies out there and you can usually get parts from Ford Racing that won't affect the warranty. American Muscle is a big supplier as well.

Jonny,
I have a v6 Automatic. I can get a CAI and probably do the exhaust eventually, but other than that is there anything else I can mod on this car, power wise.
