Goddam you're getting some nice deals. $21k to buy your V6...and getting a GT for under $30k. I cant find a GT for under $30k and I don't think a dealer would buy my V6 for more than 18000. Plus I have an exhaust on there maybe they wont buy it for that much.
Yup, CA has the worst pricing on new Mustangs and the worst trade in values. The best you can do is $30k before tax and licenses for a base GT.

New '16 GTs can be had for $27k locally at Brandon Ford here in Tampa. They still have two in stock at that price. And several more under $30k.
Brandon rocks! So many Mustangs on the lot at all times and great prices.

Funny...here in CA the lowest I ever found a new Mustang GT is about $32k, even used base GT's are still going for like $31k.

OP, so just wondering since I am considering moving up in a few years.
-Did you have negative equity? If so did they just roll that over w/o requiring a down payment?
-If you financed, how much more are you paying monthly compared to your V6?
-Did your insurance skyrocket? and how is gas compared to the V6?

California must blow chunks, then. Easy to get a GT under $30k around these parts. Get down to $27k if you're fine with a sh*t color selection (whatever is leftover on the dealer lot).

I did and it rolled over and I didn't put anything down. It went from $412 to $555. As for gas and insurance, I don't know yet. I've only had it for a day. I'll find out my new insurance price probably by tomorrow.
