I'm not sure the Mrs is going to be happy with me tying up 90 grand in a 3rd car

Maybe consider getting it as your daily driver, even if it means a possible loss of comfort.

In the end, it's all a matter of attitude and the question of what you want, like and what's important to you.
It will never be a Porsche, always "just" a Mustang. 😅

You've just hit the nail on the head. If I need to get somewhere in any weather quickly and safely the BMW is incredible. Not dramatic at all.

I think similar to your friend, Cayman GTS is on the list

It's true that Focus ST is probably in the same weight category. I should've said Fiesta ST or Mini GP MkI, cars just over 1000 kg. And by small track I meant around 1-1.2 km which we mostly have here. Basically bit bigger go-kart tracks. With lots of curves the weight makes difference and power on the other hand doesn't do much. Same in the mountains on spirited drives. Focus ST with good suspension tuning and Cup2 tyres is sublime there.

Racing? Never cared about that, I don't like competitive stuff, too much stress, too much abuse of the car, I do it for fun and don't want it to cost too much money.
If I put power on the first place, I would get AWD, haha.

The US doesn't get a fully loaded mach 1 for 45k so you're onto plums. Buy an MX5, you won't get sportier. Faster yes but sportier?

Not sure I follow, you can pick up a handling pack car, sub 1 year old with hardly any miles on for that money in the US. This one is 35k sterling!

And how much to get to the UK? How much in import taxes? Besides, its LHD so you'll be stuck behind that tractor doing 15mph on the country road cause you cannot see past it.
Buy it, let us know how you get on :like:

VAT gives you what they don't have. For better or worse. They have cheaper cars in USA but expensive medical care, you have state pension and they have stolen company pension funds... Ton more differences, pointless to even compare here. Money will always be made, V8's won't and people will not get younger either. Either you want it in your life or not. For some, more powerful cars like BMW, Audi, Mercedes or Porsche are boring, silent, teeth-shattering and/or lot more expensive. And neither with a V8. Power isn't everything but for some it is. EVs dominate power now and for cheap too, like M3P with supercar speeds. Mustang definitely isn't for everyone or for everyday for most. But even in Europe it's pretty damn cheap for what it gives. And it can always be supercharged even here for 20k€ if that's what's required for speeding up to legal limits 😁 Pick your poison :like:
