Just got her in yesterday, a 2021 race red Mach 1 that I had the pleasure of picking up and driving for the first time in the snow lol. Got a few things planned, including the handling package goodies, and I wanted to get the roof wrapped to accentuate the black around the car. Wanted some opinions, should I go satin black or gloss black for the roof? The spoiler I ordered is the OEM Ford Performance spoiler painted in gloss black, so should I go gloss on the roof to match that? Or go satin to match all of the other accents?

Satin.
Beautiful car, especially in the snow. Best wishes.

Thank you! It was fun, the tires suck but that'll be fixed soon enough here. Yeah I'm leaning satin as well, gloss spoiler matches the gloss rear decklid, that's enough gloss for me lol.

Don't see many Machs in that color. Looks great. My vote would be for satin.

The black roof will make your car seem lower too.

Agree with Yorkshire, should be seeing circle tracks in the snow not straight lines 🤭.

Personally, I prefer gloss black. It will show everything though, fingerprints, swirls, scratches and so on. The satin finish tends to hide that a little bit better. I don’t think you can go wrong either way though.

Love the Race Red with all the Mach striping, good looking combo. A black roof will be that much better looking, no matter which finish you go with.

Congratz! I would go for the gloss black for sure. Are you doing full HP goodies, like wheels, and everything?

Thank you! Yeah I’m doing everything except for the front lip extension, and for the wheels I’m going to go with the LMR SVE wheels, the handling package clones that weigh a lot less paired with some nice Pilot 4S tires.

Awesome, yeah good choice. if the reason you don't want the front lip extension is scraping. I would not worry, you will learn to angle it. I daily drive mine and have had no issues, just a few scrapes here and there.

You don’t think it eats up too much ground clearance? I’ve been eyeing it, but the speed bumps in my neighborhood combined with the fact that I live in MI made me rethink it. Trying to get my car as close as possible to this:

Wow thats beautiful. I never hit it on speed bumps, only driveways. The angle of attack on my approach makes all the difference. The scrape is not bad at all. What I like about the lip is how flexible it is since its plastic. Just giving you my opinion, I have driven mine now for 20K miles, so far so good my splitter is in perfect shape (minus scrapes at the bottom lol).

Yeah the bottom doesn't count lol, if you can't see it then it doesn't exist. I might reconsider then, I really do love the look the lip extension adds, maybe I'll grab one after everything else is done. Thanks!
