Hi Mike. When the time comes, I will want to upgrade the TB for my Eddy blower on a 2018 GT to a 103mm or something in that range. Can you port match one of your throttle bodies to the Eddy base bolt pattern for their own 103mm TB? The Eddy TB is out of stock with a 4-month wait time and, compared to your comparable products, is inordinately high priced.

I'm in the process right now of installing the Ford Racing Bullitt/Mach-1 TB with the Ford Adapter plate to my Eddy's 90mm adapter opening for the stock TB and air intake. I was able to get the Adapter plate ported to take full advantage of the 87mm TB and was able to mate a modified PMAS 120mm CAI to my homemade solution. The hard plastic MAF tube and 7" air filter haven't arrived yet, but I have installed everything with the 120mm rubber air tube. I'm going to dyno this combination, once I get the tuning all sorted out, and see whether there is a significant increase to my 669rwhp (91 octane) I'm at now. I'm fully retired and have time for this kind of tinkering. Plus, the 87mm and adapter package were inexpensive and I paid only $50 for the porting.

Lastly, my tuners (I'm experimenting with two different vendors right now...) use Ford's airflow data tables for the 87mm and I was wondering whether you publish air flow data tables on your TB products for the tuner community. I've included some pics for your reference. Thanks...

P.S., Of course, I deburred any potential metal shavings threats from the adapter, before installation...

These all look like very high quality throttle bodies, my big question is there any proven performance with the 90mm throttle body on a gen3 coyote tuned na car with a 114mm cai, and being that the car is previously tuned to allow more air flow with a 114 maf would additional tuning be needed?

Thanks, James. We only have flow bench numbers, no Dynos but we are working on it. If the competition's dynos are right at 85mm, then we should easily beat that with our 90mm.

The 95mm are exclusive of ours, and we think with a GT350 manifold ported to 95mm and a CAI they will be as much of a success as they have been with Corvettes 7s.

Similarly, for the 103s we outperform the competition at the flow bench, so it should follow on an engine, but then again, dynos are on order, coming soon.

As for the tune we are running a 90mm on our stock 21 GT and it runs great. The other folks here who tested the 90mm did not have to retune. So, no, I do not think you will need to retune your GT. for our 90mm.

mikengail, thanks for considering our products.

Our 103s have the same bolt-hole pattern as GT350/Mach 1/Bullitt 87mm TB. So is the case for the competitor's 103mm TB.

If I understood correctly, you have a snout at 90mm, which has a different bolt-hole pattern, likely that of the stock GT TB, but they must have a 103mm snout so you can use their 103mm or ours. I think this is your best course of action.

Now, if you are planning to keep the 90mm snout, then yes, we can supply an Adapter 103mm to the 90mm snout or whichever size up to 103mm you port it to. That way you can use our 103mm TB there...not ideal but it will fit and work.

I hope that helps,
Thanks!

Thank you for the response, I would be interested in additional testing that takes place. I am in the process of building an NA street legal to to compete in the 10’s, currently most of the $$$$ so far have gone towards the suspension, as you probably know is the weak link with s550 platform.

Thanks for the quick reply, Mike. I probably didn't make myself clear.

The Eddy's base opening is larger than 103mm. I don't know by how much. I didn't measure it when I had it exposed. For the Edelbrock Stage-I kit, Edelbrock supplies their own adapter that allows the stock 80mm TB to bolt right up to their larger than 103mm base opening. The Eddy adapter opening for the 80mm is actually about 90mm. That's why I'm still using the Eddy adapter for the 87mm upgrade. Now, since the Eddy adapter has a bolt pattern on the small end for the stock 80mm, I had to use Ford's adapter for the 87mm to fit the 80mm's bolt pattern. Ford designed that adapter to fit the stock 2015+ manifold opening. Accordingly, it necks down from the 87mm to about 82mm. So, basically, I'm forced to use two adapters connected together. I had my Ford adapter for the 87 to the 80 ported enough to get back the extra 5mm of available air flow back. The overall length of this kind of implementation is going to make it crowded for my CAI.

So, it sounds to me like you either bolt your 103mm directly to the Eddy's base opening or you make a bolt pattern adapter to correct the misaligned bolt holes. If you are already testing your 103mm on the Edelbrock 2650, I just need to know how you are bolting it up to the Eddy's larger than 103mm base opening.

Sorry for the confusion. I'm definitely going to upgrade to your 103, instead of Edelbrock's 103. In fact, that's next, after testing my sort of homemade solution for upgrading to the 87. I know you're making your 103mm work on my model of blower. I'm just curious as to how you attach it. That's all. Thanks, again...

mikengail, I see. We'll make it work one way or another. When you get to it please let me know the opening size and the bolt-hole pattern dimensions of the snout.
