I’ve not got time to do a full detail at the moment, but I wanted to start to get some protection on it - so I’ve decided to split it up into parts and do it on a rota with its regular wash.

I started yesterday with a normal wash (foam and then two bucket), but went straight to the clay mitt whilst it was still wet, using a third bucket with a double concentrate / super slick wash mix (Meguiars shampoo plus).

The plan was to do the roof, A and C pillars, and the trunk lid, but that grew to include the rear fenders.

Then it rained, so I had to throw some Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic ‘wet wax’ on it.

I got an unexpected dry period today, so I managed to follow up with the standard hybrid ceramic :

Along with the matching wash, I’m very impressed with Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic family of products from a cost / speed and ease of use / longevity perspective :like:

Hood and front fenders next wash, doors and rockers next, then front and rear bumpers to finish - a couple of hours extra per wash should see it all done in a month without having to take a day of my weekend / family time :sunglasses:

FP tune pack back on, false knock from exhaust fixed, new air filter and some new stickers of where the car has been (I think this is a neat way to fill up that space). Also did a crank relearn just since I've done so much messing around and flashing. The car feels like an absolute animal now, it's like I got 80HP for free now that the knock control system can actually do its job without false influence. Can't believe I dealt with that for nearly 2 years

What is the difference between the PP splitter and the regular GT? From the pictures, it looks the same to me. I also have a 2023 GT and planning to do the same thing. Waiting for the splitter to arrive. Did you also install the PP fender liners?

You could always drill a small hole through the bracket and car so as to install a roll pin.
Yes, a good thought and I considered something similar. I decided against drilling as the hood struts just weren't worth that to me.

Appearance-wise, they are very similar… the PP splitter protrudes slightly more on the ends, and angles down slightly in the center.

Under the car, the PP splitter is shorter, so to use the PP under tray, you need the PP splitter (Might possibly be able to trim the base splitter to fit).

I used my base fender liners, just trimmed them for the brake air ducts and drilled a couple of holes for some plastic clips

Yesterday I traded in my 2017 EBPP for a 6Spd GT - a bit of a spur of the moment thing after helping my SO find and get a newer car and the dealer offered a good trade-in price on it .
I'll miss the Grabber Blue but it was the last 23 on the lot and have no interest in an S650 and took a good deal on a Shadow Black GT.
Today was put another 30 miles into the break-in and put Griots glass sealer on the windows and put my normal road kit into the new car - road flares, emerg blankets, tire-plug kit, etc.

Are you planning on Performance Package (or equivalent) upgrades?

When I did this swap (my build thread) I measured the height of the stock GT lower lip compared to the PP1 version. The stock GT measured at 1 1/4” whereas the PP1 lip measured at 2”

I’m doing the same. Slowly turning my stock GT premium into a PP2 car.
I have all the removed parts from my PP car due to my GT350 brake upgrade.
Front/rear calipers, rear knuckles with spherical bearing, front control arms with spherical bearings, street and track rotors and pads, etc. Will post it for sale soon.

I've putted her in storage for winter!!! I'm sad but we are arrived to that period of the year even if this is 23Celcius/73F today!!!
It was 25c and sunny in NB, my car is staying out until there's snow (or salt) on the roads... or until my insurance switches over to storage only at the end of the month :crying:
