Just to clarify...

I've never owned a car where the HVAC system could not be fully controlled by the buttons on the dash. In fact, I've never owned a car that had the climate controls on the touch screen either. It had never occurred to me that there would be additional functionality on the touch screen. Honestly, I never used that function on the touch screen. And if I could control which vents are used from the buttons on the dash, I never would. I guess I'm old school. Lol

Mine is set to Auto and a desired temperature. At first most of the cold air comes out of the dash vents, but once the car starts to cool it backs off the dash vents and blows out of the floor vents as well.

My biggest problem is keeping my wife from messing with it instead of just letting the system do its thing.

"OMG it's too hot! What button is it??? This must be it!!!"

*Mustang enters snow/wet mode while trying to merge onto the highway.

What is really going to blow your mind is the fact that you can control the HVAC with the voice button on the steering wheel. Sync voice commands

There aren't physical buttons but if you go to climate on the touchscreen you will be able to select floor/dash/defrost.
I despise this about the premium interior knowing that they have a a separate button for all of these: A/C, Max A/C, Defrost, Max Defrost.

Sorry to bump an old thread. What do you do if you have a aftermarket infotainment system and want the options to blow air on your feet and all those options etc

Are you just out of luck if you buy one that doesn’t control climate. Surely most do…l I hope

I hate touch screens and menu driven buttons for items that get used a lot.

I love my base car, it has buttons for the HVAC

The manual is pretty thick and I got my answer in about 5 minutes online with minimal effort. The manual didn't do the best job explaining how to use launch control or line lock. Thus, I figured it would just be easier and quicker to post here. I guess I'm just lazy. Thanks to the people who had a constructive reply. For those who feel I wasted their time, I apologize.
Ah, yes, that might be true with THIS question. But think about all of the other questions you'll either have one day, or never even think of, that the manual will answer.

I used the online version and learned a ton while I was breaking in the car. Well worth the time and effort.

You can buy a kit from crutchfield that does this for about 250 bucks. You need an idatalink compatible head unit though. I just did it in my tundra.
