Oh I know how it used to work, but these actions are now killing brands .
So tell me sir. If I decide that my dealership will pledge to not sell over msrp if Ford will supply me with all the units I can move and steer business my way because I rather a long term customer than bending them over . What say you? You still going to pay 10,20 grand more at another ?
I say that fantasy will never happen. Sure you may buy 60 extra dog shit Eco sports, sign up to sell EV’s, put in a couple charging Stations and your Ford rep may get you ONE extra allocation of a DH- that’s how it REALLY works. They could care less what a dealer sells a car for. You know why? Because the car belongs to the DEALER not Ford. You are not Ford’s customer you are a DEALERS customer.
As for killing brands that makes me LOL. Most all brands have ADM and not one brand has died off or is about to anytime soon.

Some first thoughts, I’m glad Ford Performance has developed a new version of a higher performance level Mustang again. As we are seeing the sunset of a high-performance Mopar’s.. . It’s always exciting to get the newest hi performance Mustang. But since the original poster brought up the cost of the ADM. $$ , and I have never lost more money on anything then when I purchased a new car and sold it.. . I’m on my 27th mustang and only lost money on the new ones that I purchased.. so when it comes to dollars, I have a suggestion for the original poster. Go find a extremely low mile Shelby GT 350 R.. drive it for a couple years and find out if the dark horse is what you still desire and of course it will be less money then. But you may find that The Gt350R what is the right purchase all along, and never lose a dime as they have already lost their depreciation. I saw one on bring a trailer for about 75K with under 1500 miles on it.. carbon, fiber, wheels, and wing that you cannot get on a dark horse. Another poster brought up that when you buy a new car you drive it off the lot and you lose a lot of money.. well if you buy a low mile GT 350R for that kind of money you can drive it for a couple years and get all your money back possibly or more . Then the true cost of owning a vehicle isn’t what you paid for it . Patience is a virtue , and a fool, and his money soon part ways.

You have not been paying much attention to the last few quarters. As they say time will tell.

I would gladly pay 75K for a GT350R with under 1500 miles on it. Love that car. I currently own a 2021 GT PP with the Ford Performance Parts Cold Are Intake and calibration kit, and it's no slouch. A lot of fun to drive.

That's in my neck of the woods too. So here we have a used DH for 100K. I think that for a bit more, you could get a brand new BMW M3 Competition CS with quarter-miles times in the 10s.
It has 2 miles on it, hardly “used” lol

Oh, I thought it said "Driven 300 miles" .... Either way, 100K for a DH?

Yeah Facebook marketplace is stupid and won’t let you post anything under 300 miles on car sales. But yes, the markup is ridiculous. But, there’s likely someone out there who’s not far off from that price and wants it now.

What’s even worse is this is one of the top selling mustang dealers in Florida and they used to be known for being above this non sense obviously the markets hurting them because they have lowered themselves to these standards now “Wayne Akers ford “
