Greetings:

I order a spare tire and rim for my 2015 GT when I ordered the car. I won't get delivery of the car until sometime in Feb., but I was wondering if ordering this option also included the other items in the spare tire kit that I found on the Internet.

2015 Mustang Spare Tire Kit: FR3Z-1K007-C

In other words, does ordering the spare tire and rim option also include getting the jack and retainer bracket? I believe the standard "spare" is a pump which got me to thinking about the lack of a jack.

Thanks.

I went to a Ford dealer recently to check out new 2015 Mustangs. I looked in the trunk of a one with the Spare tire option. It has a full-sized 18" spare tire with an actual rim (not a donut). It also comes with a jack and bracket.

I've said it from the beginning that it must include a full size spare otherwise there would be no reason the option is not available with the 20 inch wheels. There would be no reason to prohibit the spare tire option based on chosen wheel option unless the chosen wheel+tire won't fit in the spare tire well as a full size spare.

Really? That is a steal then, I thought it was just a Donut. Does it impede on trunk space being a full spare tire?

It doesn't impede on trunk space at all. It is below the trunk liner in the spare tire well. It is a tight fit in that well.

No it will not.

If it's a limited-speed, limited-distance spare, then I'll be getting a full-size spare to keep in the trunk (not in the spare tire well, just in the trunk) so that I don't have to worry. I already got a pump and a floor-stand two-ton pump jack to use instead of the regular screw jack, along with a 4-way tire iron to carry around in the trunk.

Guys ... IT IS NOT A FULL SIZE WHEEL / TIRE !!

It is a Temporary Spare ...

T155/60R18 107M Tire
on a
18x5" painted & machined aluminum wheel

YES, it does include a Jack & Wrench Kit too.

Not the best pic, but wanted to show the paint/machining detail.

I don't think anything under a 19 fits over the Brembo. I want a donut spare, even if I have to use spacers to get it to fit. It's just temporary anyway.
Another thing to know. If you use the air inflator gel you have replace the wheel pressure sensor. If I can't find an aftermarket donut I'll carry a plug kit, and if that doesn't work I'll use the free roadside assistance.

Has anyone ordered the spare tire with the optional 19" wheels?

Yes, you can get them with anything except the 20" wheels or the Performance Pack.

I have the 19" wheels from the 50th Anniversary Edition and have the spare tire.

I honestly like to know how you guys get a full sized tire in the trunk? Because I got my EcoBoost with PP last week and bought a winter package, I thought I could use one of the summer wheels as a spare wheel in the trunk. NOOO! I have a well space were the compressor sits from around 2-3 inches. I will make tomorrow a picture with the tire in the trunk without the lit. I am sure it will stick out a lot. With the subwoofer in the trunk, there is no way that there is enough space for any full size wheel. No idea if with the PP the wheel well shrinks.

...? There's plenty of room in the trunk for a full-sized wheel. Just not in the spare-tire well. That's why the wheel in the spare-tire well is a donut. You certainly can carry around a full-sized spare, it'll just have to be sitting loose in the trunk.

Thaaat is not what I like to do and what other members wrote. I mean - yes. The trunk could carry 2 wheels. We could also screw a spare tire on the trunk lit.
