Rain baffles- dealer or factory installed?

Frustrating…..just got a nice 1400 mile mile one owner all og 2022 GT500 and found this right under the rain baffles (or whatever they are called) under the hood.

Does this happen during assembly or is it a part of the PDI process ??

Great. I can’t have any luck unless I buy something brand new off the truck. Dealing with peoples mistakes and incompetence on every every lightly used car I ever bought.

Don't beat yourself up too bad brother. If nothing more can be done, just touch it up and enjoy the ride!!! Could be far worse!

I hear you......i traded in a brand new 125 mile mach 1 that was flawless and into this car that was far more expensive. Its just not right and frustrating af. Ill see if a dr colourchip can help

Dr. Colorchip works GREAT. Go slowly and leave plenty of time between each LIGHT coat while building and polishing the repair. If you take your time you’ll never see it unless you stress to. Promise. Their color match is usually

It was pried off. It does not play well when trying to get it off.
I'm sure a CF hood vent was on the car and then the stock one was put back on before the car sold.

I am almost positive this had happened at the PPF shop. The vent wasnt changed out. PPF shop removed the scoops to get a TIGHTER install.

Oh well. it doesnt matter how it happened either way. Its there now and i just have to see how to go about a proper fix

Which leads me to my next question. What kind of person removes something like that using a metal tool, when clearly a nylon tool would not have done that.

Do you think they pried it off thinking of bottom side of the hood decal?
regardless, probably a dummy doing it, hope all else is well with that beast

what kind of a pff installer would hack the hood like that? If it was id go back to whomever did the work…
