My wife and I went for a nice summer drive,and drove just over one hundred miles . Last night on ford app it had a warning in deep sleep mode. I find that odd after driving that far with no issues . This morning I went to the garage she started right up no problem. The voltage gauge showed 14.5 v running , I turned it off and with it not running it showed 12.5 voltage! I got my voltage meter it also showed 12.5 v my car is a 2021 gt convertible with just over 5000 miles .Is the battery going bad ? Is a battery covered under the 3/36 warranty? I have read that the battery are not very good! What would you do? Is the car safe to drive reliabley

When did you check battery voltage with a meter? Immediately after shutting it off? If so you were reading "surface voltage" which is not a true indication of battery condition. Next time turn the lights on for 19 seconds or so then check the voltage. Then compare it to the attached chart.
Also, with the car running you're not reading battery voltage but the alternator/charge/system voltage.
To get a better idea of battery condition any major chain auto parts store will load test it for free.
And finally, of course the car is safe. The absolute worst that could happen is the battery could completely fail while out. But that's extremely unlikely without it displaying much more severe symptoms first.
In any case a AAA membership and/or a small jump pack in the trunk is almost always a good idea.

It is normal for the voltage to fluctuate while the car is running. The BMS will try to "smart charge" the battery to extend its life as long as possible.

From what you've posted, sounds like your battery is fine.

I have a 2023 Mustang GT, automatic, California Special, and I received a similar message from the FORD Pass app on my cell phone awhile back. Keep in mind my car is a daily driver. I went home, and it fired right up. Too many times when I would use the app on my phone, I got a partial response message. I figured the app kept pinging my car and draining the battery, so I deleted it.
When I am driving, I keep the battery voltage indicator on the screen. Some days it will stay at 14.0 and other days at 14.5. Once in a blue moon, it will fluctuate continuously from 12.5 to 14.5 while driving. I'm currently at 6300 miles. Hope this helps!

Sure, that one would work fine. A decent capacity at a decent price.
I keep one in each of my cars and check the charge every 4 months or so. I've used them a few times to help others but have been fortunate to not have needed it myself.

I've got a 2022 and had this one since Sept 2022 and I've had that same alert three times. Only once when the car was sitting for about a week and the other two were the next day after road trips. Never once had a start up issues after this alert. Kinda feels like a random glitch at this point.

The voltage reading in the car is NOT the battery voltage.

It is the voltage the alternator is putting out. It has nothing to do with the charge state of the battery.

To answer your question, yes, the battery is covered under the warranty. I had mine replaced at 13k miles at 34 months. Yes, the batteries from the factory SUCK.

Mine does something similar, but I narrowed it down to if I lock the car with the key fob, I'll get the Ford Pass alert maybe in 2 hours or 2 days. If I lock it at the door handle with my finger it won't alert. My car is mostly driven on the weekends. Does the alarm activate if locked at the door handle? I have the security system.

Also, the new battery should be warranted for 36 months for replacement independent of the remaining warranty on the car.
I don't really think that the Motorcraft batteries suck so much as it's a somewhat undersized battery being asked to do a whole lot. Modern cars are real battery killers. Throw in extreme heat or cold and very few car batteries last a long time. I'm usually happy if I get 4 years from one.
FWIW the Ford battery is most likely made by Johnson Controls International though I think the battery division was sold and is now called Clarios. They make about 1/3 of all lead/acid batteries.
