If anyone looking for a hell of a deal on a new unused G4 kit check out my for sale. Wanted to use it but circumstances made me go a different route,

What's better, closed or open?
Don’t exactly think one is better than the other, it really comes down to different scenarios of use. I ran a closed system for 8 months with no issues. When I decided I wanted to run a turbo guard instead of a full intake I could no longer use the closed system. At that point you either can run the vent to atmosphere can or just filters on the PCV. Both with give you racecar smells in the cabin and just running filters could cause a mess with no can to catch fluids. All in all if you are gonna stay with the ESS intake then the closed system will do the job just fine.

Sweet. Thank you for the insight. I will probably go with the closed system then.

edit: what would happen if i plumbed both PCVs directly into the sound tube that is now half-deleted in there??

Hey man, your setup is basically what I've been inputting on the ESS option list. I'm debating 125mm or 120mm pulley. I'm thinking 125 mm pulley to be on the safe side even though 120mm is ok for gen 3 because of direct injection. Just looking for whp in the mid 600 range and just drive the thing. What I'm on the fence is, should I or should I not get FFE headers. Will the stock cats be ok at 600whp levels.? I've read clearance problems with aftermarket header and they can cause false knock.
