I don't know man. Maybe what the units engineers listed as correct for it.
Nah, they know nothing, lets ask the interwebs.

Amsoil 5w50 is what I run in my Roush charged car. That's what Brenspeed, where I had it installed uses.5w30 or 5w50???
I think thats where Im leaning.... I wanted to go with Penzoil Ultra but they dont have 5w50Amsoil 5w50 is what I run in my Roush charged car. That's what Brenspeed, where I had it installed uses.
Appreciate the response.Whipple recommends 5w50 and they have good connections with Ford so I would go off of that.
I've heard mixed reviews about the Motorcraft 5w50 oil.
Are you tracking the car or doing a ton of pulls? If you drive it like a daily car most of the time I would just put in any premium oil brand 5w50 that catches your eye.
If you don't have catalytic converters try to find an oil brand that has more additives. I personally have been running Valvoline Vr1, some people run diesel oil.
If you are track driving or really pushing the car then try to find a racing oil you like that is around 5w50, change the oil frequently, and get the oil tested.
People have lots of opinions about oil, it honestly doesn't matter too much, get a 5w50 premium oil and the upgraded Ford racing oil filter and call it a day.
Lots of talk about 5w20 not being thick enough and really people should run 5w30 (according to Ford engineers). Also supercharger manufactures that have very close ties to Ford recommend 5w50.I’m assuming you’re using 5-20 even supercharged. It’s the factory recommendation from Ford engineers
Yep and I stayed 5-30 ever since going boosted. I like it so far so I’ll stay with itZLots of talk about 5w20 not being thick enough and really people should run 5w30 (according to Ford engineers). Also supercharger manufactures that have very close ties to Ford recommend 5w50.
We have that settled, the answer is to "catch can".
We are eternally stuck on oil, however...
Well I’m not a believer but I’m not going to stir that pot!We have that settled, the answer is to "catch can".

Haha. I just see large amounts of oil going through the passenger side pcv. I think it can be beneficial, but not necessary. Since the coyote has port injection I didn't see much carbon buildup when I tore my engine apart at 110k miles.Well I’m not a believer but I’m not going to stir that pot!
