I know this has been discussed numerous times but also I had a general question about running a Turboguard on the Vortech V3
2021 Mustang GT A10
Mods:
Vortech V3
Lethal BAP
FIC 95lb inj
SW Catless LT headers
NGK gapped to .022
when doing WOT 3rd/4th I see little to no positive knock, when I took it to the Dyno and ran 6th gear open blower 7k - 7.5k I got about 3 degrees positive knock still made 668whp/515tq. I’ve been over this a few times with my tuner, and he believed passenger side headers are touching A/C line and can confirm they are not. I can confirm the passenger side charge pipe is touching the headlight pretty tight. Wondering if anyone one has any insight I do use 91 in california chevron only and do have stock resonator and mufflers, could it be the stock exhaust hitting, the gas, or the charge pipes touching other components that aren’t necessarily metal but plastic? Should I try an octane booster?
lastly I would like to run a Turboguard for the track and am wondering what to do with the two vacuum hoses going to the intake tube, I’m not running a catch can so I’ve heard cap the one above the throttle body and put a breather on the drive side. Any other recommendations?
