Welcome to bbq tick club. It seems ford says it's normal. I put 2 bottles of ceratec, every oil change and it def quieted it down, cant even hear it anynore. I have 8000 miles on my 2021 GT.

All Mustangs tick. Most of the noise is the DI. None of it hurts anything.

Selling the car because of ticks is...............a choice.
Noisy ENGINES are not an issue most if not all of the time but a noise in the engine is. I say this as a tech and owner of a P. O. S 5.0. All you guys with the "noisy" engines or better yet quiet ones I envy.

Ahhhhh the rare 2021/2022 5 speed. Those usually do have a more severe tick because Those editions are handbuilt in Spain.

2 bottles of ceretec and not one peep out of my 2019. Oil still looks good and im
Not annoyed in drive throughs or parking garages haha..

Tick was bbq tick NOT injection! And piston slap at 800k is sad on a new engine. Paying close to $50,000 to liston to an LS 4.8/5.3/6.0 like engine piston like slap and typewriter like noise is sad! Choice ? Yes.. good choice!! I only posted it to let others know the problems like we all see regarding piston slap and typewriter tick is still happening on the 2022 mustang
We all. Don't see it much. Some do.

Glad you sold it. Wouldn't want you to suffer such shitty sounds from such a shitty car.

Whole post seems like a hit piece from the Dodge forum.

Do you still own your 21 GT?:cwl:

Seems like you wasted a lot of money on a non-issue. Can you tell me what engine does not make any ticks, rattles, clicks, buzzes, hisses or similar? Every engine has its "signature" noise. I get that you maybe did not like the tick sound itself. Maybe a click or buzz is more to your liking
Especially a DOHC.
