Nice … !Usually the speed limiter only lets me get to 181 mph.

Wow, that's a good question. I wasn't sure if I was going to post the stability control issue, but most who run at Daytona know that it frequently checks out from time to time. It was most prevalent in the 350. The 350R happened less frequently, and the 500 CFTP hardly at all. In this example, the nannies were out to lunch.Nice … !
Just say it had an extra 200lbs in it, what would that equivalent value likely be … ?

Edit : Just thinking out loud, if there was a potential problem with the stability, could it also effect the electronic limiter ?
I talked with Dean Martin about this and he said that Billy would be the guy to answer that question.I wonder if the combination of steering angle, speed and G coupled with the banked track puts the sensor parameters outside of the programmed limits ?
I guess it’s quite an extreme outlier and possibly not considered ‘normal operation’ when FP set the original parameters.

Very nice. That's moving.Usually the speed limiter only lets me get to 181 mph.

If given enough real estate, I think it would do over 200. I was told by someone in the know that one of the limiting factors was the half shafts. A friend blew his second set this weekend.Very nice. That's moving.
I know this topic has been discussed by you and I before, but I would like to know what the car's non-governed top speed is just for gee-whiz knowledge. Can it go over 190, 195? With the massive front opening, I would be surprised if it could hit 200.
I know, it's governed for a reason, and if they wanted it to go faster, they would blah, blah, blah.
For curiosity's sake, I would like to know.
Obliviously it can do 185.4!
I no reason to doubt your guess. You are likely one of the few outside of the Ford team or FP guys that has run the car to its limited speed in a fairly regular basis if I had to guess. If given enough real estate, I think it would do over 200. I was told by someone in the know that one of the limiting factors was the half shafts. A friend blew his second set this weekend.
You bring up a good question, what can the car do? Once the Dct changes gears into 7th, it starts to pull again. I can't venture a guess, but 210?
