I noticed when pushing it that hard (on the track only) the fuel gauge goes down almost as fast as the speedometer goes up

Road America in the spring I was touching 170mph going into #1. Probably could do more but oh my that is really moving.

I can only attest to a 2016 GT and a 2020 GT500 being limited to 155mph and 180mph respectively

From the factory, the EU models are governed at 155,3 mph (250 km/h) the EU Bullitt at 163,4 mph (263 km/h*).

For US model, from experience with imported vehicles from the US, at least the vehicles without PP are governed at 124,2 mph (200 km/h), but maybe PP are, too.
It is possible to remove this governor, but I would recommend only for vehicles with 6-piston Brembo front.

*speedometer value, GPS should be little less

There's a point where he's at like 188ish and lets off for a sec, then gets on it again and it goes right back to 188 in a few seconds from 180. Car would easily do 200 with enough room and balls. Also the wing and front aero bits + rain tray out (which I assume this guy has done), is something like 400-500 lbs of downforce at those speeds if I remember correctly. That ain't gonna help your top speed runs lol.

Edit: 550 Lbs of downforce for the CFTP, 380ish for base with handling pack, at 180 MPH.

I agree. It hit 188 without trying and he let off. Something didn't add up to me.

I had my 2016 GT350 at 177.4 and two others were approx the same. A 2017 R could only obtain 173 because of the additional down force. All of us were on a closed roadway in Texas.
