I purchased the WMG short version. Very easy install but you do have to trim 1” off the shaft which is not a big deal. I also swapped out the boo/trim to a manual version. Love the look and feels great.

I am digging this look and will most likely be purchasing the same setup in the near future! Where did you purchase the new boot and trim bezel?

I purchased a white Derlin knob and painted it with 2 coats of clear. I wanted to see what different colors looked like. I purchased 1 white and 1 black.

Yeah, my only concern with clear is eventually it will begin to have issues which will require refinishing :( I might try a standard brushed finish ??

Agree but I only have $18 dollars in the knob. Once I decided on the color that I like the best I will purchase a better quality knob. WMG sells knobs also so might be purchasing from them.

$18 - I only wish I was going to spend that amount on a knob!

Yes, WMG has a really nice selection of knobs - I will be most likely purchasing their standard brushed finish

For those that have a WM Garage auto shifter, how has it held up after a year or more of use? In particular, did it come loose or shift differently over time? Thanks

I have my WM for almost 4 years and only once it came loose due to installer error. It's a great shifter.

So with either the Barton or the WM, how does one engage the trans? Is there a push button to move the aftermarket stick?

Looking at the Barton, I guess the top plate is the "button", but with the WM, where is it - at the shaft/stick?

I can't speak of the auto shifter in particular, but my manual shift knob from WMG only lasted a bit over one year. Then the clear coat started cracking. At first it was just a single crack, which wasn't visible unless lit by direct sunlight, but after a few weeks there were lots of them, which were visible at any time in any kind of light. And not only did they look terribly ugly, but I could also feel them, which was annoying. I had to ditch it.

Too bad, as it looked really nice when it was new.

As for the WMG automatic shifter, I think @RasJeremy can tell you more about it.
