I am running a FP X-pipe and Kooks 3" axle backs. It is loud. So much so that my wife will not ride unless is a very short trip. Cats are still in place and FP Stage 2. It is loud. I don't find it too loud but with the coming sound restrictions here in Commiefornia I am looking into 3" axle backs that will tone it down and have 4" black tips. If any of you know of such an animal, please message me.

Thank you for the cold start clip! Sounds stout as hell. Once the pipes warm up, it's not as raspy too huh?
Yeah it defintely takes the edge off it, I’m loving it though, H pipe was only fitted last week :)

I too live in Commiefornia (wanting to move away asap lol.) What is going to be the new sound restriction? I haven't heard anything about this! And thank you for your reply, I appreciate it!

Thats how it was on my old 350z once the pipes warmed up, it sounded quite a bit different. Sounds great man, enjoy it!

Yeah, a cold start from behind is rough on the ear drums... Id say to anyone, regardless of brand, if you want an upgraded note, grab an xpipe or hpipe and leave it alone. If you want full send bananas, then change out the mufflers lol.
LOL, I'll try just the mufflers first and save the X pipe to try at a later date hahaha.

why not just get the full roush cat-back at this point instead?

FTR - I have the roush cat-back. I do not find it loud at all, it is a very reasonable level, even at cold start. sure it'll bark when you stomp on the loud pedal, the answer is dont do that in areas you dont want to bother people. this is with stock headers/cats. maybe long tubes w/ cats open that up a bit more I'm sure. at the moment I'm very happy with the selection.

this morn's cold start

Effective Jan 1, 2023, there will be six cities that will install sound sensors with cameras that will mail tickets to offenders. The six cities will not be announced, but there will be signs stating that you are entering a sound zone (more idiocy from our leaders). This will eventually be taken statewide just like red light cameras. I also expect it to become part of the roadside smog checks that are prevalent around here. I refer to them as the Smog Nazi's. They primarily focus on diesel pickups, but now they can also sting performance cars with modified exhaust systems. Wondering when they are going to flag in a group of Angels, Bandito's, or any other bike club for overly loud exhaust systems?

Ya when stock they are reasonable, so are Corsa and AWE. When adding long tubes is where they enter the bananas territory. Cold starts are loud with any, but calm down after 30 sec once temps reached.

FTR - I feel like the corsa extreme is way to loud even with stock headers. that thing is obnoxious to my ears.

I ran long tube headers, cam and electric cutouts right after the headers on a LS3 camaro years ago. I know what loud is believe me.

The problem is that for some reason Ford made the start up loud on these cars. The start up is loud, but driving around town its not stupid loud.

I went with borla x pipe and axle back because its a ton cheaper than the whole thing. I had the cat back on my 2019.

I'm gonna listen to that in a little bit when I get a break at work and can play sound. What is the difference between the full catback, vs the axlebacks with an X/H Pipe?

God I hate this state... What an absolute waste of resources, time, and effort. Seriously we both need to get out of here because the people that have been running this state have lost their mind and it has been like that for a while now.

Why run? You will only die tired.

There has been 50 years of one-party control here, save for one year back in the 70's I believe. And, of course, we know what we call doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome?

For me, I will fight the good fight.

That doesn't sound over the top at all and sounds really good, it looks like the catback is still an X Pipe right?
