Just curious if anyone is running this set up and could tell me how loud it is. My GT should be delivered soon and I ordered this set up. When I was chatting with an American Muscle representative, I told them I didn't want it to be obnoxiously loud on cold start (don't want to piss off any neighbors) and they said it wouldn't be. Now reading some of the threads about axlebacks and x pipes, I'm getting worried about throwing it on. For reference, I used to have a 350z with a true dual muffler delete and resonator deletes.. Wondering how that would compare or if anyone has db tested their set up? (can be any x pipe.)
Thank you in advance to anyone who comments!

I have the FP x-pipe with Steeda axle backs which look a lot like the Roush axle backs. The cold starts are loud. I actually start my car with the garage door down because I'm worried about the neighbors. Normal driving it's sounds perfect I think. It's very loud getting on it but I love the way it sounds. My buddy has a '19 with the x-pipe and Roush axle backs and IMO his is a little louder than mine.

I've been pouring over stuff since I did my resonator delete. Best I came up with is the Steeda is a little deeper, and the Roush is louder. Both are loud starts, but to be honest when you remove the resonator the cold start is loud. My Borla Catback (basically a 3" straight pipe) was wicked on a cold start lol, and loud when warmed up.

I've got the Borla switch fire, just ordered a Borla stype cat back. I loved the Borla on my other one, so i figured why not. Just doing it cheaper this time.

Thank you for the reply! Have the neighbors ever said anything to you before? Unfortunately I don't have the option of a garage currently but I could back my car up a bit before starting to not be so close to their house. I hear you man I LOVE the way it sounds from what I've heard on youtube. Totally can deal with any type of driving too, just worried about that damn cold start. I hate having neighbors lol.
Any of you guys have a db reader by chance to measure what a cold start comes up as?

Damn lol. Is the Borla louder than the Roush ones? I'm trying to basically see if the Roush with X is tolerable (dare I say that lol) for neighbors to not get pissed off.

I have just the Roush axle back and cold starts are pretty loud. I actually wish the setup was a little louder when warm but I have hesitated to do the resonator delete because of the cold starts.

Search YouTube. It'll be loud.
I've watched about every video of this set up their is on youtube, I love the sound. And from the videos it doesn't seem like it is extremely loud, but I also know that can be very misleading so I'm trying to hear I guess like actual stories from people who have it. Hopefully that makes sense.

I do have the exact setup you're asking about. Cold starts are nice. It sounds good in the high rpms as well. It won't have the old school muscle sound. Some say it's raspy but to me it's not.

Damn, that's surprising to hear, I haven't seen many say the axlebacks themselves were loud at cold start. Has anyone ever said anything to you just having those?
I don't blame you for being hesitant lol. Last thing you want is a bunch of people bitching at you.
I'm almost considering throwing both on at the same time, and if it's too much put the suitcase back in and keep the axlebacks on until I move.

I have longtubes catted, resonator delete, x-pipe and Roush axelbacks, boosted. Car is loud as hell. Doesn't matter if you back the car in or not, it will be very loud on cold starts. But I will say it sounds unique. With the car warmed up it's docile until you step on it. With no longtubes and resonators it won't be near as loud, but still quite a bit of volume nonetheless.

I’ll have an idea next week lol. My full borla catback was very loud. To be honest just adding the switch fire was probably about right for most. But I want it louder lol.

I'm not saying the axkebacks alone are anywhere near as loud on cold starts as they would be with an X-pipe, but they are noticeably louder than stock and it makes me hesitant to go to another level of loud with the resonator delete.

It definitely sounds great. I have seen the age old debate of X vs H and definitely like the sound of an X better. Some rasp to me is better than the "old school" sound but to each their own.
Have you ever had any complaints on your set up?
