Said goodbye to the S550

With prices of the S550 in the stratosphere in the Pacific Northwest, and the S650 around the corner, I decided to pull the trigger on a new truck. I'll never sell my 68 Mustang, and I'll probably wait until the new s650 and not the early refresh before I buy another one. I've been a Ford man my entire life, but the new 3.0 Duramax with the look of the refreshed GMC 1500's and their redone interior sold me. First fill-up averaged 35mpg...

I'll still hang around here as I love the s550's and love seeing your all's cars. But the wait is now on for the fully redone s650.

P.S. Ford, you need to get on the ball. Your F-150's are looking long in the tooth and you're asking waaaaay too much for what you're selling.

It'll be little more than '17-'18 refresh was. except perhaps interior with more gratuitous screens, useful tactile experience replaced with touch-screen nonsense (GTI v8), thereby ruining the car beyond recognition and lopping off a digit from annual sales and killing the car faster than GM can kill the Camaro. I hope not, but the best adjective that describes Ford is 'alternating between stupid and brilliant' and 'chasing ephemeral consumer fads'.

The Lightning and Bronco can be put in the 'brilliant' column. so they are overdue for a colossal 'stupid'.

no argument about F150 pricing has been ridiculous for some time now, but at least the F-150 is in-offensive in the exterior looks department. GM/C look like ass. And they aren't that far off ridiculous in their pricing either...

An F-150 optioned the exact way the GMC is was 4k more, and the interior of the F-150 (imho) looks like garbage as compared to the refreshed GMC line.

It's all good, though. Not everyone has the same thoughts on looks/functionality which is why we have choices.
