I need some help, I am looking to get more tire under the car. Currently making 830rwhp with an A10. Currently have the Roush Flowform's 20x9.5 all the way around. Current rear tire is a Toyo R888R 285/35/20. I know I know 285 on a 20 wont hook. Car will not be making track visits, but do want to put something back there so when it comes out on the weekends and the spirited driving kicks in I don't have to worry about the rear end coming around to say hi.
So where I am now is deciding on either going some type of drag pack setup or changing to a different standard wheel setup. First thought is to go Weld with an 18x8 up front and 17x10 in the rear which would would give me much more sidewall. My other idea is changing to an HRE setup with a 19x10 up front and 19x11 in rear to get the rear up to a 305 with a little more sidewall than i have now.
For those are running around the same horsepower what pushed you one direction or the other and which worked better if you happened to try both? Thanks in advance for the help/advice.
