I thought that was mainly from stock cats. I think high flow cats can handle that power fine, especially kooks. They use quality stuff.
I could be wrong. It would just be a shame to cut up a perfectly good system for nothing.
just the opposite most long tube catted headers fail. It’s best just to remove everything

These what my Kooks cats did after 10K miles. Also caused a ring land failure because of it. Factory cats are far more robust and a better construction design than just rolled metal.

Ouch!!! Are these the regular cats or the green cats?
I'm looking to boost in the future, but my regulations require me to have cats installed and i was looking at going the kooks green cats root.

Was it difficult to remove the material?
Can’t be too bad. I’ve always cut behind the cat and used a hammer and prybar to break everything up. It breaks fairly easy.

did you fill the cut open cat with metal or just leave it open?
This one made me laugh.

The cut out piece was placed back in….
You are a stronger man than me Cory S. I don't think I could of resisted sarcasm. No offense to you 19BULLITTwhipple. It was just one of those things you hear someone say ("would you like your coffee in a cup?") and you just can't help but respond in a sarcastic manner.
