Hello, I have an issue. I need to get rid of my cats because I will be forced induction soon. But I have Kooks headers installed on the car already.

The kooks off road connection pipes are back ordered beyond anything I want to wait for.

1. Has anyone done a cat delete with longitudes already on the car meaning cut just the connection pipes specifically.
2. Are there any other companies that have similar fitment to the kooks headers. Maybe I can use for example.

Please let me know suggestions, photos you may have of custom work, etc.

I saw this photo on the American muscle website. I am leaning towards this. and maybe o2 spark plug spacers because of check engine light.

I can't find anyone who wants to sell their connection pips so this is what it has come to.

Should be a very simple mod. Just remove the mid-pipes, take them to an exhaust shop and have them cut out the cats and weld in straight pipes for each side.

Why do you need to remove the cats? You can run cats whilst boosted.

I would like to do something like this off possible. It would be nice if you had a photo of it after you finished but I can image how it looks. From under the car I’m sure no one could tell

Sometimes the cats clogg when over 700 whp and you can blow your engine that way.

I know a few people personally that blew engines because of clogged cats
I thought that was mainly from stock cats. I think high flow cats can handle that power fine, especially kooks. They use quality stuff.
I could be wrong. It would just be a shame to cut up a perfectly good system for nothing.

These what my Kooks cats did after 10K miles. Also caused a ring land failure because of it. Factory cats are far more robust and a better construction design than just rolled metal.
