I have the Borla s types with chrome tips on mine, I am normally not a fan of chrome but I think in this application it really ties in well with the rest of the car.

Yeah I bought them off another forum member, still active. Quiet mode is still usable for mornings. Track mode is very very very loud now. Interior noise is next to nothing. Much lower than the stock mufflers. As with any video they do not do it justice. The burbles and pops are sooooo much more pronounced.
I have a few other videos on my channel with flybys and such.

I just added a Steeda axle back with polished tips to my Bullitt. It is not an active exhaust axle back. I had to relocate the actuators to an AWE bracket to avoid getting the pesky Exhaust Mode light on the dash.

If you like the sound of your factory mufflers, you could probably have a muffler shop cut off the black tips at the muffler and weld on a piece of pipe that’s 2” long and 2.5” diameter and then purchase a pair of slip on tips to clamp on. Here’s a pic of the factory Bullitt mufflers to give you a better idea of what they look like off the car.

FYI, just for the hell of it. The car will learn to ignore the AE missing.

Shit canned the AE a year ago, saw the error once or twice, but that was it.

I had no idea that was the case. It’s only been a problem for me for about the last 7 months or so and I‘m just now getting around to fixing it. Sounds like I could have saved myself some time and cash by letting it go away on its own.

Did you e d up unplugging the left and right AE harnesses from the main harness? Did you find dummy plugs to keep the main harness connectors dry?
