Although that’s great, it means it won’t be done today unfortunately. Personally, I bet it happened there. If it wasn’t tuned you would have gotten a check engine lamp a long time ago.

Anything is possible. I was wondering if they just said that to recoup some of rental fees etc... I got car in June and drove till Sept and never got errors or CEL. There is prob no way to ever know, i wish i left my dashcam in...
p.s. I wonder if i asked them to get my dash cam footage from car what they would do/say...

Spoke to them more about the cats, they said that it was professionally gutted, meaning it would not have thrown a code. They did not want to talk about whether the cats were issue whole time or if it caused the damage, idk how it could have caused issue but at this point who knows. Dealer i bought car from is covering cats...
They are going to flash it to stock tune to make sure. To think...if they actually caught this at start and voided my warranty how much more id be screwed...

Crazy. Sounding fishy to me but the end result is looking like it's where you want it to be so no reason to pursue anything further IMO. Hope you can get at least some smiles per mile out of this thing, you're in a deficit for sure!

Sounds like a stock GT exhaust to me. After all this time and effort why did they suddenly find the converters had been gutted?

your guess is as good as mine... i think they wanted me to spend $$ on the cats - but i called out dealer i bought from to pay for them... i had no idea they were gutted. from what he said someone paid a lot of money to get the gutted.

the real question if in fact they are telling truth is... "Was it the empty cats rattling whole time?" but if dig too deep no warranty...
