A guy and I talked and he planned on selling me his headers he took off his car. He quotes that he cut off the step down of the headers and that I would need to weld them to the catback. I will include a few pics of what im working with if i buy them but i just wanted opinions, because lol my luck isnt the best and I don’t want to run into more problems than needed. Wasn’t really wanting to weld anything header wise, but I just wanted to know if anyone has done this and in your opinion should I buy or no?

A lot of people cut off the step downs so that there is no neck down to 2.5" if they are running 3" catback exhaust

if you truly wanna run cats then you are gonna remove that part of the pipe anyways and replace it with a cat so it wont matter to you at all. shops in my area wouldnt touch my car with headers since we are emissions compliant so having someone weld on headers would be tougher to find since its not oem but looks like youre in texas so idk if that matters to you.

If you wish to not weld anything I would go with these. Texas Speed 2015-2020 Mustang 5.0L GT 1-7/8" x 3" Headers and Catted Connection Pipes

If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message. Thank you. #TEAMLETHAL
