Anyone have the standard seats in their 2021 Mach 1 and thoughts?

This is news to me... I thought the seats were exactly the same as those in the GT. Specifically those in the Mach 1 700A look the same to me (minus some aesthetic trim differences) as those that I had in my 2015 GT Premium, but maybe my eye is too untrained.

They are the same other than accent colors

Interesting. I wonder if this is what happens with these discounted orders placed online if/when customers back out of them? Could help explain why they're willing to offer those discounts I guess? To get legit customer orders?

My guess is that the under invoice pricing is their normal business model, and they are continuing it since (I think?) they have essentially unlimited allocations, it breeds goodwill with customers, and it's business they would otherwise not get.

Marking cancelled orders up $10k ADM is probably just opportunism, but also might account for why they aren't asking for a $1k downpayment on orders.

The seats are similar but different and a bit better than the GT.

Are you sure you have the right seats? Mine are definitely more supportive and “deeper” but look very similar. Even my wife noticed the difference from the 2016 GT.

Standard seats and recaros are the same as their mustang gt counterparts aside from the accent stripes on the standards.

Agreed, I had 2015 as well. Other then the different pattern and the stripe seem exactly the same to me. They were very comfortable then...and now.

The standard seats in the Mach 1 are fantastic!
So comfortable that it is a breeze doing long runs for hours and hours.

The heating seems to be less than in the GT in comparison but the bolstering is a bit better, so I guess that keeps them from not heating up to the same temperature.

I do several track days a year

They’re too comfy for dd duty to give up in my opinion—just used the Schroth quick fit harness for track or when driving in anger

Seat swaps are fast as well, I’ll run my sabelt Xpad for track days

Mustang Mach1 is a Grand touring car first and a track car second in my opinion. Why sacrifice GT comfort? Even with recaros it’s still a compromise performance car—Just a compromised car with less comfy seats.!

You're gonna need an early style rear seat belt receptacle as well.

I just stacked them through the original bolt. Then both receptacles will fit through he opening in the seat base.

yeah I am like 5'8-9' and 260 so if the recaros are narrow for you then for me it would be like trying to squeeze into a sausage casing
