Took it in for its first oil change and had the lug nuts (Ford Performance) and wheel locks (McGard) swapped to black

If you buy some O rings of the right size, you can hide the silver ring around your locking nut :

Bought her yesterday and drove 2040 miles home. The plan is to give a good detail this weekend.

Do you have a recommendation for size and where to get them?
I’m I U.K. based so my supplier recommendation is probably worthless lol, but we have a large bearing and seal supplier just a few miles away.

With regards to size, my standard McGard nuts probably have a different OD to your locking nuts, but I went for 1mm smaller on the OD and a 3mm wall :

That’s enough to cover the silver ring and give a nice snug fit, they haven’t budged into triple digits and they laugh in the face of the weekly jet wash.

Simply fit the nut and then push the o ring home.

Hope that helps :like:

Can't say I recommend them unless you are the only one that ever takes wheels off, a single dealer service later and now a 13/16 socket no longer fits, lol. Have to use 21. They have the same design as the stock lugs and won't hold up to impact gun use over time. I will say the finish holds up pretty decently I suppose. That's what I get for getting "free" services from the dealer lmao

Yeah, free service is usually a bad idea. Dealer, sex worker, etc. I always say no to free.

It's fine, lol. I got the lug nuts with ford points so I'm not exactly in tears about it. They did a good job otherwise (minus some grease marks on my paint). Bringing them pizza probably helped. Personally I don't have an issue with using air tools to remove lug nuts, it's unrealistic to expect otherwise. For them to get damaged from one removal just indicates the lugs are pretty crap. They did torque them correctly though, I verified it at home by loosening and retightening them all. I've had them off enough to know what 150's breakaway torque should feel like, it was decently close.
