It seems the sun that comes in and hits that outer top portion of the leather seat has caused some UV/heat damage

Wallet in right rear pocket? Avoiding that will net a thank you from your back.

I do not. I believe that ass-arc is probably from the zipper pocket on board shorts and the button pocket on some other pants

I don't really have any desire to replace it until there is a tear kind of like the weathered look has patina

Well ya I was actually thinking about that too. I don't need my car to look sexy, I could be driving a pinto and still make it look good

But there are some good looking Mustangs on this forum and around where I am. I love them.
