Website says made of stainless steel and then powder coated. Wonder how hot it gets in the blazing sun...
I did a custom paint job on one there products that was a color they did not have .I Had to strip it down .It was like a epoxy enamel. Some airplane paint stripper made quick work of it .Sounds durable, ...... a color code and the powder colors (guessing) have no connection for an exact match. Could have different hews for the base color, as in close, acceptable.
LOLFinally 62k and still going for now hehe
You can sand it off from the back to keep the OE look :My rational brain says wont do anything ... my OCD says lower IAT and mega HP.
Of course the sickness has me considering:
How many marbles am I missing lol?
LOL
62k?!?! That would take me like 12 years or more.
I need to find me a friend like that. Have been wanting to get this done. What kind of safety precautions do you need, does he just lean out of a passenger window of another car or what?A buddy has a friend that takes photos an wanted to take some of mine for practice
Oooh, I like the wheel cap and lug nuts. Might need to procure this for my Bullitt.Installed:
Splash guards from CJ Pony Parts
Black Ford GT lug nuts
Bullitt wheel caps from 5 Spurs
LOL

Exactly. 18mos in (from new), 27k miles and counting! 1,500mi/mo on average, I think I'm a tad above the national average of 1,125. I think it used to be 12k mi/yr on average, they bumped it up to 13,500mi/yr.
62k took me 10 months to get to. Of course minus 27k from it when I bought the car last year. Y'all need to drive more instead of hiding your cars. Life is short get out and drive.
Got mine when they first came out. Love them. Always use a microfiber to close. Finally got the trunk pop kit installed. Took literally under 2 minutes. It's lot more heft to close it now, but something something Newton's third law...
This'll make my daily commutes, baseball, golfing, grocery-getting so much more convenient! Unless I knock unknowing passenger's teeth out!
They actually (per the customer rep) had to switch suppliers, so I got them at $90 instead of the normal $80 or whatever. Distinct hissing sound, but so far so good!Got mine when they first came out. Love them. Always use a microfiber to close.
What i did as well awhile back .also I took a grill and cut the honeycomb out completely and did these inserts. You can sand it off from the back to keep the OE look :

I used a Japanese saw but it had a lot of resistance so I switched to a coping saw. It had less control and cut too deep, leaving the remaining grid too shallow IMO.What i did as well awhile back .also I took a grill and cut the honeycomb out completely and did these inserts.
