So I am considering changing my FI setup on my 2014 Procharged GT. Currently it is making in the ballpark of 850 or so RWHP on E85. Don't get me wrong, Procharger makes a good head unit, and so far it has been a good kit, but lately I have been wanting to go with either the VMP Gen 3R/Odin kit or the Whipple 3.0. Probably leaning more towards VMP since they arent as backlogged as Whipple. Will the Circle D 258mm 2C I currently have be too much stall for a PD blower? What are other PD blower people using on here for a converter with an auto (6R80)? I have the stock 3:15 rear gears BTW. Thanks in advance.

What stall do you have. They came with 3000 to 3800 but really those are preferable for the Pd setup over the centrifugal

You are running a converter designed for a PD blower now.

It is a 2C as stated in my original post which is 3200-3400.

Yes I am aware. I was just concerned that the 2C might be too much stall for all the low end torque of a PD blower and if having say A 1C is more desirable.

Just swap the blowers and find out if the converter will work to your liking or not

A 2c does not mean that it will have 3200-3400 there are options when you purchase the converter all the way to 3800.
that converter is perfect for a PD setup. 3200 is considered mild for a centrifugal. I have seen some stock converters stall 2800 so just a little over a loose stock converter

This is a great thread - I do not know about the 1C or 2C options for a 10R80 - it doesn't seem so - Beefcake says there is only one Stator. I have the FI version to my knowledge (invoice isn't too clear) - and I think it is 3800 although it does say that these stalls are "around" 3800, Lethal says the range is 3500-3800. I have the Gen V Stage 2 Whipple.

100% agree with this. Change one thing at a time instead of just throwing money at it and finding out you should have kept what you had.

yep, you already have a pd blower,

your probably robbing yourself of at least .1 in the 60 and .2 in the 1/4 with that converter with your procharger setup,

you should be running a 4 or 5c 245mm.

that converter is too big and heavy for what you have.

you get 1 free restall. i would send the converter in and get the proper converter at no charge, vs buying a completly new blower setup if your goal is to get more et.

an 850 wheel car whether it be prochager, paxton, vortech, whippke, odin, edelbrock, with the proper converter are all going to run basically the same et.

so spending a bunch of money to swap for the same hp, is going to get you the same results you already have

I run a 2C 3200-3400 stall. Gen 3R. Wouldn’t want anything else. It’s perfect IMO.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately/fortunately I traded my 14 GT in for 14 GT500 so I don't need to worry about what converter or what blower to get now, lol
