I don't need to debate or argue. I am just glad that I was able to score a GT350.
But that's me. I couldn't care less if someone isn't impressed with my decision to buy such an awesome car with such a special engine.

Nice name-calling, newbie.

You've already been given three answers that told you the same thing, you just don't like the answer: Get in a GT350, drive it, and get back to us. Is it really that hard to understand that a car can be more than the sum of its parts?

Since you're unlikely to do that, though, I'll give you some more substance to answer your question directly:
- You can't get a GT with an engine that revs as smoothly, willingly, or as high as a GT350
- You can't get a GT with brakes as big as those that come on a GT350
- You can't get a GT with all the engine, transmission, and differential cooling that you get on a GT350
- You can't get a GT with a Tremec 3160 transmission ("Getrag vs. Tremec debate?" LOLWUT? There is literally no debate here...)
- The GT350 will always be lighter than a GT
- Add a supercharger to a GT and it will be even heavier, and will heat-soak
- Put all of the above reasons together, and it's really not that hard to understand why the GT350 is the better track car.

Now go away and stop shitting in the OP's thread. Feel free to start your own.

Newb.
Learn to read...first step. As I said already I drove the damned thing. this post is the closest to explaining anything at all but still does address handling.

You absolutely can upgrade the brakes on a GT, even if it is aftermarket, which has been my point.

Adding a supercharger totally makes up for the weight with the power or they wouldnt do it on the GT500...right?

The WEIGHT difference between a GT and a GT350 is 55 pounds, so I am pretty sure that is not making or breaking your day...55 pounds....that is a half tank of gas....or a chubby guy vs a skinny guy. It is around 1% of the weight of the vehicle!!!

Stock to stock the difference in the 1/4 mile is .3 seconds BEFORE you supercharge the GT.
The newer version of the Getrag has not been a huge problem for most and even if it were, is it worth 10K more?

so that one makes no sense to me. But you obviously feel like a tough guy and feel like you have adequately pushed me around and are a know it all, so have a nice day. I will post where I see fit and if you don't like it, block me.

I am glad you are enjoying it. That was not my intention. It was to understand what the differences were to make it worth the extra $$$$. But of course everyone has to take things personal on here and get mad and insult one another.
Your car is beautiful and I wish you the best of luck with it.

I'm not debating anyone here, but I had a 2017 GT350 for two years, but now I can't get a new one. So I got what seems like the next best thing, especially given what's available, which is a performance package car with Magneride. Given my abilities and experiences on track, I guarantee that I'll never be able to measure the differences between the GT350 and the GT.

That said, I doubt I'll ever drive anything more fun than the GT350. Nothing compared in that department.
That is a reasonable and intelligent response without attacking anyone. Thanks.

I just wanted to thank you paranoid Shelby owners who paid for the Shelby name. I was really bored at work today and you helped me pass the time. I really don't care what car you drive at all, it is just fun to have a good debate from time to time. I don't take it personally like many of you. Have a good night. I will enjoy driving home from work in my car that cost 20K less than yours and is essentially the same car. Oh...and mine is paid for so there is that too.

Again, specifically what is giving that to you? What is the real difference other than words....that is what I am not seeing. I look over the specs and do not see that much difference to justify it. It is not about affordability for me because I pay cash for my cars, but don't spend additional money unless I am gaining value for it.
The specs aren't going to explain the differences enough for you. It is the entire package, the experience of it is the only way you will truly understand it.

I agree if it were the GT500 but not the GT350....cue the angry GT350 owners...but that is my opinion having driven just about every muscle car out there.

If you really wanna make Shelby owners mad all you gotta do is tell them that a 65k Corvette will smoke a GT500 in EVERY way.. 0-60.. standing quarter mile. You name it.

Kind of sad if you think about it. I mean I am just saying... for half the price you get a lot more car.

I do love the look of both though. I just think that Ford failed to execute on a 100k+ sports car. Do you know how many better options there are out there at the GT500 price range. Its insane.

I do love the look of them though.

GT500 is a special car though....not for me because I cannot handle that much power as a daily driver, but special. You have a great point with the Vette though!!

I was willing to give you the benefit of doubt, but then I looked at your sig, and the...

ā€œ2020 Saleen Mustang S302 White Labelā€

and oh the irony ironies...a specialty mustang owner calling a specialty mustang owner names and claiming how much less he paid than the OTHER specialty mustangs šŸ˜‚
