Minnows cant even swim to the negotiating table at this point. Not to mention are one of the worst in terms of penny pinching, combined with sometimes ridiculous expectations of suppliers. A bad combination.

Unless they just call them 2022's...Well one good thing about this is there's going to be a bunch of brand new previous MY cars for sale cheaply once they do allocate the chips to finish those cars.
In 2022 there will be a load of brand new MY2021 Mustangs and others cars sold for CHEAP.
Depends on how far along they are in the build process. I'm sure at some point, they are no longer legally allowed to change the MY.Unless they just call them 2022's...
Ford now introducing the "New Old Stock" edition! Complete with rusty rotors and rodent damage.Unless they just call them 2022's...
So it all depends on when a car becomes a car.Depends on how far along they are in the build process. I'm sure at some point, they are no longer legally allowed to change the MY.
Otherwise instead of just selling old MYs at a discount, they would just update the MY up one year and sell it as brand new.
Oh nope, not opening up that can of worms. So it all depends on when a car becomes a car.
My brother works at Samsung in Austin, TX. He said they are ramping up and adding 3 new fabs to make chips. Now they won't be ready to produce for around about a year give or take a few months, but they are planning on being able to make more.At least they'll be stateside. Both TSMC and Samsung are looking to open plants in the US.
If it already has a VIN issued doesn't that have the MY in it?So it all depends on when a car becomes a car.
I would say yes.If it already has a VIN issued doesn't that have the MY in it?
Have you ever seen the lithography machines? They're monsters. My brother works at Samsung in Austin, TX. He said they are ramping up and adding 3 new fabs to make chips. Good point. They probably assign them fairly early in manufacturing too, so they can keep track of what parts to put on. Of course that doesn't always work out...If it already has a VIN issued doesn't that have the MY in it?
Do you remember the 69 and 70 Shelby?Depends on how far along they are in the build process. I'm sure at some point, they are no longer legally allowed to change the MY.
