The consignor fees typically consist of an initial entry fee that can range anywhere from $500 to $2000 per vehicle all depending on certain aspects such as whether you would like your vehicle displayed inside or outside but more importantly what day and time of the auction that you would like your car to cross the block.Wow. What are the seller fees?
Typically Friday and Saturday afternoons are considered prime time therefore the entry fees escalate accordingly.
In addition to the initial entry fee there is also a 10% commission that is assessed for any car that sells on the block.
If your car does not sell because it did not meet your set Reserve Price then the 10% sellers commission does not come into play.
When you take into consideration round trip travel expenses, hotel accommodations, meals, rental car, enclosed auto transport, initial auction entry fee and 10% sellers commissions you best be ready for a great deal of costs and hope that you have all your ducks in a row in order to either break even or hopefully turn a small profit.
