Seeing as how you mentioned GT’s …

A7-D21793-6-A5-D-4-D72-8938-FAD04664634-B.jpg

Factory black roof.
Custom pack 2.
MagneRide.
Recaro’s.
Manual.

The black badges, mirror caps and hood vents were added later as Ford couldn’t supply those with my spec.

Only other externally visible mods are black lug nuts, OE ford red side markers, big mouth and if the lights are on, rear sequencers.

Collected mine from the dealer yesterday, it is now with my detailer for a full-on new car detail and protection. I ordered in November and it was built on the 29th of March, then it was 8 weeks to get to Liverpool and then almost 4 weeks to get to the dealer from Liverpool.

Grabber Yellow is a Mach 1 exclusive colour in the UK, so you'll only see it on a Mach 1. I took the risk and ordered it from pictures only, but seeing it in person is amazing! It is also the only historic Mach 1 colour available, as it was on the original 1970/71 Mach 1. Plus, I knew everyone else would likely go FJG, so I wanted to be a bit different.

The Tremec manual is really tight when new and you really need to push it into gear, but it has started to loosen up and is, in my opinion (having owned two 6 speed autos and my 2019 was an MT82 manual) a big step up on the manual GT. The gearing also feels different with more torque down low which is really noticeable. I Will have her run in soon and then I'll get on it more. Plus, I'll be getting it booked into MAP for Steeda dual-rate springs and an H-Pipe.

Here are some photos of it being built and my collection yesterday from Nottingham.

Looking great! Yellow has never been a favourite of mine but it looks great and will no doubt be far more rare!

Thanks, it's been a long wait, but well worth it in my opinion.

The gearing makes it feel quicker to pick up compared to my GT which needed more persuasion to get going. The feel of the gearbox is completely different with a notchy sporty feel that is solid and doesn't clunk like the MT82. Build quality is good and the car looks much better than photos in person, with the 3D sculpting of the grille really standing out in person, where they look flat in the photos. I'll give you more thoughts after I have spent more time with it.

The exhaust tailpipes are massive and the first thing that hits you when you see one for the first time. The sound is roughly similar to the GT and Bullitt active systems, but I did find it was louder inside the cabin than my 2019 and a 2018 I went down to collect it in. When you get the throttle open it has a really good deep tone that is more traditional V8 than raspy. I think an H-Pipe would be all you would need to make it a little louder if that's your thing, standard is pretty loud as it is.

Thanks for the information man.
I have FJG coming with Normal seats and upgraded alloys at the end of the year

How does the car handle compared to your GT

Oh! Err, good luck with that!
More than a year after taking my car to MAP, I'm still finding bad stuff.
Just yesterday I found the wiring harness leading to the throttle body actuator, was pinched against the engine & had crushed the protective tubing. I looked at the wires inside to discover damage to the insulation on each wire, as a direct result of the install.

But then, what else would one expect when they spend nearly ÂŁ4k at MAP!.....

That's the first time I have heard any negative feedback about them. Everyone seems to be really impressed with the workmanship and quality that I have spoken to, including my dealer.

you've really not been paying attention then. save your money and engine go to oxford or colchester instead.

Modurstang seem pretty decent from my experience. I would recommend. Maybe worth the drive.

You'll have to forgive me as I don't spend all my time on these forums, but what exactly am I meant to have missed?

MAP have always been excellent to me, great workmanship and knowledge - I guess you really have to have been there to be able to comment about them... and yes, there will always be issues with every workshop or garage and yes not everyone is happy - but for me - they are really the best

have you actually bought this up with MAP ? I have always found them to be super conscientious and outstanding in their customer service, personally spent thousands with them and never an issue to rectify something
