So I was going to order a Scat Pack since that was what I had been planning on and it sounds like they are coming in much sooner than the mach's. But the guy I was going to go with will not give me a ballpark price on my trade for when the new one would come in (estimating 8-10 weeks) and wants to do it now. My Mustang is at an all time high trade value at present, but I can't turn it in now since its my only car and it looks like renting a car would be at least $50 a day so that is out.

It’s likely that your build configuration is simpler compared to other orders?

Anyway, someone convince me - why waiting for this into September/October is better than getting MY22. Not sure what to do.
You’re in California so winter weather is not a concern. I can understand the argument for our friends in the Midwest or northeast. I wouldn’t be thrilled about taking delivery just in time to park it for 4-6 months, the whole time paying insurance on it and you can’t even drive it. But you won’t have that issue. If you want to fly up to Everett I’ll pick you up at the airport. I’d be surprised after a quick spin in my car if you want to wait until next year to get yours :like:
I’m sure there are people that the Mach 1 just doesn’t do anything for. Maybe it’s the appearance or maybe they are used to driving something even more fun. But for me I keep going in the garage staring at it. And the times I do take it out I have to remember that the windows aren’t tinted yet and I don’t want to let other drivers see me giggling like a girl. I pass a school on the way to work and two days ago I had a dad dropping off his kids about break his neck looking at the Mach 1 as he passed by. I can only imagine the suffering he must be going through probably wanting something like this car, while driving a Honda Pilot. And that isn’t the first time I’ve seen someone completely stop paying attention to the road to check it out. A car that gets that type of reaction is worth getting as soon as you can. Don’t wait until next year if you don’t have to :)

This last year I’ve been dropping my son off in the 86 bronco, and you could see other dads pointing out the bronco and having their kids wave to us and then go talk to my son on their walk into school. And this next year it’ll be in the bronco and Mach 1, and once he’s old enough, on the cruiser as well. Literally everyone else is in 4dr trucks and SUVs and a few cars, almost all white/grey/black, while our stuff are bright red 2dr or 2 wheeled fun vehicles. Can’t wait for the looks he’ll get climbing out the Mach 1.

Geez these orders are all over the place. For every person who posts that their date got moved closer, there's another one who gets bumped out a month. I've been a factory production scheduler and would love to know what variables Ford is considering as they put this huge Jenga puzzle of a schedule together.

Mines a Handling Pack car, not sure if that is making the difference or not. Last week it bumped to Aug, today the email says Sept 14th I think.

I've been wondering the same thing, I ordered March 22 and supposedly it's not getting built till July 19. I remember reading something recently about Cup 2 tires being hard to come by, wonder if that's having any effect.

Looking at tirerack, the 315/30x19 says when available.

Hell I can't get beyond order confirmed (and that was back in early May). No VIN to even reference....
If you have the dealer code and order number FP may be able to locate your VIN and give you some status.
