CDC showed off their shaker kit like 2yrs ago, and hinted at it before then. I wonder if the delay in release was due to some negotiations with Ford around if the Mach1 would get one or not.

I want to like it, but I can’t get over the fact the car looks modern and that shaker looks old. Like they took the 03/04 Mach shaker and put it on a 21. Just doesn’t work in my opinion

The 03-04 is the same as the 60's/70' which is the same as this one.

I dig the look, but it does nothing but looks, might even hurt the cars areo at the track.
5th gen cars had a issue with hoods blowing off early in their race careers and every 6th gen has had a air extractor of some form on the hood, hell, half the GT 500s hood is a air extractor. I would also worry about wind buffing at speeds let alone pushing more air under the hood that doesn't even do anything. Does look cool and the Price doesn't seem bad if you're willing to cut your hood.

Looks like an Auto Zone special. I won't opt for this as they already stated it affected aero in their testing.

the 2020+ Dodge unit looks good to me. Why wouldn't CDC use that one?

I didn’t think of that at first but you’re right, dodge has a shaker that looks like it belongs. This has a very strong auto zone feel to it. Maybe not quite that cheap but it ruins the lines of the hood to me.

i'm with both of you on this. This looks after-aftermarket to me.

if anything, they need NACA/NASA. or maybe the 69 shelby treatment so that it still has the needed extractors:

Falls in the same category of rear window louvers to me. Grasping at nostalgia straws for sure.

I like that. Without the two forward intakes it would look similar to a hellcat hood with the center intake and 2 side extractors. I would be interested in something like that!

Maybe if they used the '70 - '71 Torino style Shaker it might look better. It might not create as much aero issues, I don't know. Looks fine without it, but the Shaker was a sought after option on the originals.

I'm sorry but that shaker on the new Mach 1 looks ridiculous. Looks like someone stuck a 52 year old part on a 2021 car. For Gods sake if you're gonna do it at least come up with something that looks like it belongs in this century and on a modern car. For the record I don't believe it needs a shaker hood. Car looks and runs great as is.
