I re upholstered them myself.
When you state this you mean you removed the stock covers and put the Katzkins on, vs actually doing all that diamond quilting yourself, correct?

How hard was it? I have the Roush black/red inserts made by Katzkin and hesitent to do myself. One place wants $800 for just LABOR to remove/replace. I already have the covers!!!

Yikes, you got technical on that one :) I guess he should have written the fresh air is drawn from the box/space that the battery box sits in. :)
LoL ... just sayin' in case some people think they are getting battery venting vapors mixed in with the fresh air intake to the cabin ... which isn't happening because the battery sits in it's own separate sealed off battery box. Sometimes getting technical makes a difference. šŸ˜„ šŸ˜‰

Gotcha. I completely agree with your theory about the pressure/volume. Makes you wonder, this came from Ford and apparently they should have tested things, and if issues are coming up in the wild, looks like perhaps they didn't test this unit enough.
True ... I'd double check all the connections again just to make sure they are all tight.

this is an ecoboost specific catch can, im glad yours isn't throwing a code.
on that catch can you use, does it have a plug sensor? mine does,
Apparently, the ecoboost setup senses any positive pressure in that PCV fresh air line when heavily in boost. Might also be that the electrical connector closes off a valve in that fresh air line to prevent any boost back pressure in the crankcase from piston blow-by from flowing into the intake tube. The same fresh air line setup is not on the non-boosted engines (Coyote & Voodoo).

Took it back to the shop my insurance company chose, for the third time. I destroyed two struts and hubs, three wheels, and the front bumper when I hit a set of railroad tracks at 70mph. I'm very familiar with said railroad crossing and it used to be smooth as glass. In the couple of days since I drove the road something had completely ground up the pavement on either side of the tracks. It almost looks like a construction company dug out the crossing, then just never repaved it. Jumping essentially bare tracks at speed tends to destroy a car. It spun the car into the field too, but I haven't had it back long enough to start polishing all the dirt scratches out. Insurance also said it was an at fault accident so my rates are going up. It was just too much damage to fix myself. Also it's extremely awkward trying to explain freak accidents to the insurance company. They were like.... Ookaayyyy how much were you drinking that night? I was like, I wasn't, and it was 4 in the afternoon..
Yea, I guess explaining jumping railroad tracks at 4pm @ 70mph is a little tough.... kinda like this?

Before, which was the norm:

After Construction Crew supposedly messed with the tracks, all the sudden became a "daaaaayum, that never happened before"::

Makes sense, I heard the film crew of Dukes of Hazzard went through a dozen Chargers doing all the jumps and shenanigans.

The process is time consuming but worth it. You have to remove all factory material and then install the leather and alcantara from Katskinz. You must use hog ties to secure the material to the seat frames. Very many steps and you also have to cut material for the factory rear seat handles and head rests. If you don’t have experience with this such thing I would not attempt it because one wrong cut you will be reordering from Katskinz. If I didn’t know what I was doing , I would have been happy to pay $800 to have them installed.

Picked her up from the tint shop who also put my stripes on. Now I need to replace the chrome badges with red and I will have just the right amount of color.
Noooo. Now the chrome looks perfectly matched with the red/black/grey.
Just my opinion of course.

Booked an oil change at the dealer.

Was there today for a first service (one and a half year old at 20,000 km/12,000 miles), so I could get a stamp in my book that shows things, except possibly oil since I asked them to not change that, and they remember me buying oil filters there regularly, are in order to help possible future warranty issues.

There were no complaints about lack of changing oil from what I guess you call the service writer (?), especially since he remembers me coming buy frequently to buy oil filters, but when I came back to pick up the car again the old issue about oil changes done by myself came up. How I obviously care a lot about the car and could be a great mechanic for all he knows, but it might be better for me to have an official stamp from them documenting the oil changes so there are "no problems if something happens."

I'm not sure it's necessary, but guy has given me a good impression as I've been going to him/this dealer to get my oil filters and other minor parts for a while now, so quite possibly does have me best interest at heart. If it can save me from a lot of hassle if the engine or transmission blows up, and possibly even having to "lawyer up", perhaps it's a decent idea?

In the end I decided to go with having my oil change done there, and booked it for next week (mechanic did not have time at that moment, as it was near closing time and he was busy with another car. Perhaps it was rude of me to not offer to help and do my own oil change in their garage?).

It's less than two months since I changed my oil last time, but the oil life monitor is down to 30% already, so the timing is not too terrible.

Guess I'll be adding a yearly/10,000 miles dealer oil change as a yearly expense from now on, to have an official record of it, and keep doing my own oil changes in between them and logging them as I've done so far. :-/

At least the mechanic will get to see my Ronin oil drain plug in operation, which I suspect will be a new thing for him.
Too add more amusement to this for you over there: as I half expected, the service writer (?) warned me about my non-standard drain plug when I turned up for the appointed oil change yesterday. Said if there is a warranty issue, they will (of course) have to make a report to Ford, and Ford will maybe also ask for pictures. When they see the oil drain plug, they might just say "owner modified the car" and refuse to do anything more.
Again recommended to me I keep everything stock as much as possible until warranty runs out, especially since he could see (from the tires I guess) that I was not exactly "driving miss daisy", and he did not want me to have an issue if something happened. Said it would be up to Ford HQ to approve anything, not him.

Said things here in Europe are not at all as in the USA. I change any tiny little thing here, I will have problems.

My warranty is 7 years though (extended warranty plan), and I have camber plates and the mgw shifter in the garage already, waiting for time to install it, and FP's Magneride kit getting shipped from the USA in a few days. Don't think I'm going to wait 7 years to install that, so guess I'll have to consider the possibility that I will have to either lawyer up and/or pay myself if shit hits the fan. Sucks. :-/
