I'm picky AF, so I pretty much always special order. I feel like if you're gonna buy new, half the point is to get the car exactly how you want it (as opposed to being limited by what's available on the used car market), but I digress... If I got a Camaro, one way or another, I'm getting that green lol. I don't know if I've ever even seen that color on the street or even at the track, which makes it all the more awesome. How is it not more popular?
The “green” color, Shock, is the brightest color on the road. It’s a degree or two brighter and louder than the triple yellow 2016 GT I owned. During max sunlight, it has more of a green tint. During max darkness, it has more of a yellow tint. Not the best night photo example but it’s all I have at the moment.

The pics being in different places tripped me out lol. I'd be excited to try a rear view camera like that.
It’s one of the best options available. If you get a coupe, it 100% solves any rear visibility struggles you might have.

Just compare the price. My 19 premium GT with A10 and PP1, after a little wrangling with the dealer came in at a little less then 46K. I was looking at Camaro SS at the the same time and for the same basic package they were over 15K more. The performance and handling are similar so why the extra cost from GM? Besides, the S550 reminds me of my first pony, a 67 with 390 and 4-speed, just like the year later Bullet model, except for some reason they had a badge on it that said "High Country".
No that’s not correct at all. You are saying a comparable ss was over $60k?? Yeah no a loaded 1LE with the a10 is not over $49k sticker. Gm supplier pricing is like $45k on it. And that’s 2x the car of a pp1 GT.

you have one hell of a shitty Chevy dealer then or a VERY bad memory. in '19 the 1SS/1LE was 45k MSRP. 2SS/1LE was 50k. In 2021 a 2SS/1LE is 52k MSRP.

Here's a 1SS/1LE listed at 40k ask on 47.

A 2SS with almost 1LE package, 44k ask on 52

The Camaro isn't remotely more expensive than a like-trim Mustang.

Maybe not all visibility struggles, I still head check blind spots. I know it's a thing many younger drivers don't do anymore (aimed at the last 2 near misses of young drivers nearly side swiping me). I know Hondas have blind spot cameras so when you use turn signals (BMW drivers optional) a picture of that blind spot comes on the infotainment screen. Kinda cool but at the same time contradicts the way I was taught and have been driving for 23 years.

The Camaro needs BLISS. But then again when I head-check in my F150 I get a eyeful of door pillar (crew cab).

if you move the mirror left or right, does the view change or is it just fixed straight back?

You guys are right. I just went on a build and price and found that for the 20, the Camaro is pretty much comparable. 18 months ago when I was shopping for the 19, that did not appear to be the case. It really seemed at that time that GM was asking for a lot more than Ford. But, maybe I was just looking in the wrong places. Don't really like our GM dealer here in this valley and the two of us have a little history. Maybe that's the problem.

The normal characteristic noise the engine makes while warming up or the sound of DI? No need to fix either of them because nothing is broken.
Interesting that you didn't used to feel it was a "normal characteristic" Anyway enjoy your Ford engineering and I will do the same with my M2 .

"Couple things: I do have the 2k rpm rattle thing going on, gonna have to find the threads on it to remember if that was fixable or like the bbq tick and we just deal with it. Other thing that’s weird is at a dead stop, sometimes putting it in first gear will make a clunking sound come from the diff or driveline maybe? It seems to happen only sometimes when maybe the gearing isn’t aligned or something. Meh, warranty if it ends up being an issue"

"I heard the bbq/typewriter tick but when I parked at work and got out to listen for it I heard nothing so hopefully I'm just hearing things. If I do officially have a bbq/typewriter tick then that means I have both rattle/tick sounds and my car is obviously doomed to explode at some point or gain super powers. Annoying yes, but all I'll do is make sure the dealership has them documented and continue enjoying this amazing car. I'll update in a few days after the X pipe is installed."

"Hit 135 this morning on the way to work. Not something I do normally but first time getting her into the triple digits. Maybe its just my hand placement and/or rough shifting but even going into 4th it seemed to unsettle her a bit. Might just need more testing done and to get used to it. I'm 90% sure it's a driver skill thing."

"The BBQ tick thing falls into the realm of good till it's not. Have 5 years before I really start worrying. I honestly don't think it matters how a car is driven during "break in" as long as it sees a full spectrum of use from baby to smash it throughout it's life. It's the luck of the draw and how much human error is in the manufacturing process on your build week. Glad you're both enjoying your cars! I tried the auto in a test drive but just wasn't for me, LOVE the manual every day."

So you spent time out of your day to dig up some of my old posts?

I have a full-size spare in both cars. That's just one example of what you can't do with the Camaro. Chevy done goofed with that trunk.
Good thing i don't want a spare! You can carry one if you really want to though

It takes away all of my blind spot. I still check over my shoulders as well..but with this..and the blind spot monitoring in the side mirrors...its not 100% needed i guess.

The mirror is fixed..but you can adjust the camera itself. It is about as fixed as you can expect an antenna mounted camera to be.
